I need help to save my region

My region is the “New Warsaw Pact”.

We used to be a grand region, long before my arrival, but things have changed since then. We have 3/6 government seats empty, and we haven’t seen proper RP in 2 years. We’re falling apart, but this region has become my family. They were there for me when few people were, and it would hurt me deeply if it went silent into the night. I’ve even had stress dreams about this, it’s that bad.

This sub isn’t huge, but it’s my one shot. Please join, and help us restore our glory, before it’s too late. I seriously hope to see you there. If you want to join the government, you don’t even need to be a long term resident. You will get elected. It’s that bad.

There is a thread called "Find a Region" where people are asking for types of regions to join. I think maybe you can find some recruits there.

The Region’s still grand enough and has as many members as ever, the problem is that people are nowhere near to as active as they were a couple of years ago. New blood would always be welcome though

Good luck, then. In my experience, the #1 best thing for a region is recruiting, which I see you do. Manual is ok if you have enough people doing it often enough, but I wouldn't put that all on 1/2 people's backs - you could burn them out and lose your most active people. Unfortunately, smaller regions with fewer people probably need to incorporate stamps into their recruiting plan.

#2 is retention/integration. Here are some questions you might ask yourself: are you getting the people who join involved? I see you have a discord; are they coming to your discord? Do you have a welcome telegram that tells them about your offsite community? Is your offsite community active? Are there things to do there? It's ok to have your region focus mostly on RP, but do you also have a space for your region members to just talk and get to know each other better?

On-site: do newcomers in your region have opportunities to grow in your region? Can they join your government? Do you honor the people who put their time into improving your region? Do you do regional events aimed at building your region, perhaps hosted on your RMB or Discord? Do you use these events to help get people involved off-site?

Perhaps for later: I see you have embassies with some prominent regions. Do you have ambassadors to those regions? Could those people tell you what these regions are doing well with regards to RP, and are there any aspects that work well elsewhere that make sense to into your own region? Would other regions be up for a joint RP or other joint event?

Not all of these will be applicable to your region, but I hope that thinking on this gives you some ideas to help turn your region into whatever you want it to be. Good luck.

I joined this region! I'm just new, and I don't understand how anything works. I also run my country as kinda some sorta tyrannical joke, and I'm not super into roleplaying, so I don't necessarily know how to get involved.
