A New NS-Family Focused Region!

NationStates families are gatherings of like-minded players who share fellowship, support, and knowledge. It is not unusual for a NS family to have members in several different regions.

Edlhus is a unique new region focused on the NationStates families!

In Edlhus, your NS family means something.

If you aren’t yet in a NS family, this is the best place to explore your options.

Inter-family intrigue and competition are promoted, while collegiality and courtly manners are maintained. As outlined in the constitution, The Edicts of Edlhus, The Great Houses are the region’s legislature, and every six months they elect the Imperator (delegate). A Great House is any NS family that has been in existence for at least a year and has at least one citizen in the region. Interactions between families are governed by The Code of Comport, which also serves as the basis for gaining regional prestige.

Beginning September 1st, the official “founding” of Edlhus, families will be able to earn House Points to improve their Precedence in the region.

Strongly second this. I recommend to the people in charge of this region that you keep a close watch on the goings-on of the NS families involved, as there is absolutely the potential that these things can turn into toxic/predator/otherwise unpleasant situations. Just for the sake of protecting new players.

I literally made it up on the spot! But of course all the good ideas have already been taken.

I would go with HaloMatch, but I'm sure that is a subsidiary of Christian Mingle or something.

Pretty excited for this, ngl. Yes, NS families can get out of control, but they can also be a wonderful group of people full of friends and support. I have all the faith in Halo to manage the region properly and keep out drama and toxicity.

Truthfully, the Moreaux fam has been nothing short of a real family to me. We support and lean on each other in the hard times, and joke around and be dumb together in the good times. I count my blessings each day and my little second family is one of them.

So please don't look at this insta negatively, because I really think it has some promise in opening up dialogue about what families [i]should[i] be like, and to help connect people in a way that wasn't previously available.
