Guess the next GCR coup

Postby Comfed » Mon Jul 20, 2020 8:20 am

Welcome all to this thread, where we predict when a Game Created Region will be couped, and when. Place your bets, because the rewards are... non-existent.

No, Warzones do not count.

I'm already banned from Balder but I wouldn't mind getting double banned so I voted Balder again.

Also I do hope it's Balder.

Well, that’s the problem. I don’t know. :p I mean, obviously some regions are safer than others. Like, I’d say TSP, what with their CRS and endocap, is safer than Balder or TWP.

Well, no. Defenders might hope it’s Balder, but although they’d probably like to, they don’t represent everyone.

TNP's ever hunger for more power, influence and advertising, whether it be through raids, constant upvoting of literally every official TNP dispatch, not supporting SC resolutions because of the NPA not being recognized, classing NSToday's Power20 as unfair, just because it doesn't class TNP as the most influential region etc will catch up to them sooner or later.

Also, as TNP is the largest region, with the delegate usually being the most endorsed nation on NS, the region is a natural target for coups. It would be difficult to pull off, but I don't think that's it's impossible, even with their Security Councillors system (fast, coordinated actions from a group, or infiltration can work wonders).

Balder’s endocap is 15. The delegate isn’t super far from 300 endorsements.

The CCD has some pointers on how to infiltrate. They graduated top of the class, too.

The way I see it, it’s gonna be TNP.
They are so organised, but someone’s just gonna slip through the cracks and take over from prydania, especially after a election.

Then do defenders also want to coup Osiris? Or is it that balder prescribed defender regions?

It's not Balder. Any explanations on TWP being ranked so high?

lol

I don't know what you're talking about with the NPA thing :P, but the Power20 article wasn't an editorial. It's not necessarily TNP's opinion.

I would be very entertained if someone tried to coup TNP over that article, especially if it were NSToday who did it :p. No one is going to successfully coup TNP in the foreseeable future.

But surely, that would mean that there is some sort of conspiracy forming. I know they say their security board or whatever will catch this in seconds, but there are people who don’t endorse the delegate, and don’t actually like the way it’s run.
I, for one, when I was in TWP, didn’t like the way it was run and didn’t endorse the delegate. It’s very feudalist and heirarchical to a point.
