I’m pretty sure Drew is benefiting a lot from this. Suddenly, he has thousands of NS players watching his videos, because he broke the site, which otherwise he wouldn’t get. I’m thinking that this is a sensible move from him, because either way, a view is a view. If I were him, if I’m losing views, I’d just do a panic break-NS thing. It’s a great thing to fall back on.

I highly doubt that this was a ploy for views. The only NationStates players that know about this are World Assembly members and forum users. And that Venn diagram is close to a circle. He barely even understands whats going on the second video.

I’m not saying it is a ploy, I’m just saying he must be benefiting from this views-wise. And even if it’s just forum users and WA members, he definitely gained more views that usual, because of the exposure

I'm pretty new and did come from his video (the first one), and while I do think that the slowdown of the game is a problem, I'm also disappointed by the amount of people on here who think it's the end of the world and want nothing to do with the newer players. There are some people, like me, who want to actually play the game, and people's pretentious and obnoxious postings are probably going to turn even the people with the best intentions away. Drew didn't want to break the game, he just wanted to play something new that was similar to what he did on his channel. Just let up with the complaining about the game being ruined...it's not helping anything.

Drew brought me back after 2 years of being a dead nation. Now I have no idea how to play this game. Anyone mind telling what cards are? Last I was on (~2 years) it was the nuclear apocalypse scenario.

Cards are essentially just trophies of other nations. The feature was introduced for April Fools 2018. You can do whatever you wish with them.

Well see yeah we all thought it was temp but now every time a video comes out this happens also these people are not integrating into our communities. In my region we got one active person and he was a douche and kinda unironically racist and I do not need that in my community. They are simply a burdern, periodt

I somewhat agree, as I'd love to see more NS content on YT (especially from a youtuber with a decent following like Drew), but I imagine it wouldn't be all too great for everyone who has to deal with the servers slowing down everytime he would upload a video about it.

Don't even try. We have some Drew people in our region, and our RP quickly degenerated into a sea of ungrammatical one-line posts.

Again, not all will be like that, but many of them will be pretty young and immature.
