Current Imitated Government: Lily

Communist Eraser wrote:Project Chameleon: A region which votes whether to adopt another region's constitution and/or laws completely every 6 months. At the end of the period, the assembly reconvenes and decides whether to continue using that region's rules for another 6 months, or instead adopt a different regions. e.g. The region might completely adopt TSP's laws for 6 months, and renew it for another 6 months, but after that people might be sick of it and instead adopt Balder's laws instead for the next 6 months.

Chameleon is a region based on this concept, with an amendation to have the emulated region chosen randomly from a list (for more craziness). Every four months, the Gods of Pseudorandomness will gift us a stable, active utopia, or condemn us to suffer from endlessly bureaucratic systems, confusing ideology, and regions which are doomed to fail. We offer up our region to their supreme judgment. The purpose of this region, in supplement to Codger's goal of it finding which government was the best, is to experience more regions. That being said, the list of eligible regions is indiscriminate towards time, as we'd like to try out regions that don't exist anymore. Chameleon will hopefully fulfill its mission over time.

Note on citizenship: citizenship is granted conditional on residency in the region. As per our constitution, laws on rights of residency are voided.

The newborn Chameleon is dropped in a mob of bloodthirsty raiders! It finds itself having to turn into….

Lily!

For our first of many emulated regions, we have the opportunity to become a respectable tagger region. Given this is our beginning, this will influence Chameleon’s fate significantly, especially because militaries are commodities for general roleplay regions. We’ll try and center our efforts on building up our military, and have two experienced R/Ders as founding members who can advise. Over time, Chameleon will experience more diverse regions and regions of other niches, and will reach into many communities.

Chameleon is adopting the constitution of Lily to govern itself until April 1st, 2020. Wish us luck in remembering all those names.

Note: the Chameleon doesn’t like impersonating current regions, so he received permission from Lily’s head of government :).

I love this! Mostly I love having a fellow Chameleon-loving region. Please hit me up when you're not an org so we can throw a Karma Chameleon party and be incredibly annoying about it.

Welp, all that’s left now is to make that “second place” codger was rambling about.

Imitating Lily is...a little big challenging.

Lol this is an interesting idea... to an extent. I worry that you'll suffer from people ending up more interested in the genuine article than yourselves though.

There are already many more no-longer-existing governments on our list to randomly pick from than governments that are around currently. If people are interesting in those regions, ours will hopefully be the closest they can get.

Thanks for the nice words, guys.

You can thank Codger for it. He's a good idea machine.

Ah good to hear. You could use my defunct version of Gay's constitution or the USSD's super old one XD

...my advice would be not to though :P
