Wow, okay, this was totally unexpected. Uh, I don't have a speech prepared or anything. I guess I'll just have to wing it.

*winks*

First of all, I'd like to say a few words about the runner-up for this award, Frattastan. Fratt exercises a quieter kind of influence over an aspect of the game that's vital to the health of gameplay. For years he's been in the background, and sometimes the foreground, making sure the defending community is well represented and conducts itself with dignity and grace. He's just as deserving of this award. So let's have a round of applause for Frattastan!

Second, I'd be remiss if I didn't take a minute to thank [violet] for this moment. My Violetist faith has sustained me for my almost eight years here.

I'd also like to thank my production team, Miniluv Productions. They do the behind the scenes work that often isn't appreciated by the general public, but it all went into making everything really fun to watch this year. So everyone remember the people who put in the hard work to make this all possible!

It's also really important to thank my fellow actors. It was touch and go for a while there on whether I'd come off looking like this year's Most Influential Gameplayer or just a Deranged Lunatic when, earlier in the year, I insisted loudly and proudly that Fedele, the Rahl family, and prominent members or former members of Lone Wolves United were all conspiring to subvert the government and perpetrate a coup against The East Pacific. They dismissed the idea as preposterous. Loads of people laughed and ridiculed me and anyone who agreed with me. Even people in TEP who should have known better thought I was a nutter. But then at the last minute Fedele surprised everyone -- except me! -- by actually going ahead with the coup I'd been warning would happen all year, proving once again not only that I'm the Most Influential Gameplayer this year but possibly of all time, but also that you should all listen to me a lot more often when I say your regions are threatened. Anyway, not only did Fedele make all this possible for me, but his spectacular failure made it all really fun and hilarious to watch, earning that coup some awards tonight as well. Well done, Fedele! You the real MVP!

*soft music plays in the background* Hold your horses, I'm almost done! I think you can afford to lose a commercial or two.

Finally, I'd like to thank you, the fans. We do this all for you. I can't tell you how much it means to see all our hard work rewarded through these awards. This might be my last year receiving this award now that I'm mostly retired*, so this is a special moment for me. I'd also like to encourage you to start thinking about giving me the Armchair Award next year since Koth can't win it every year and Glen-Rhodes is clearly never going to. Alternatively, you could petition the organizer for a Lifetime Achievement Award. Not saying I'd win it, but, well, I'd at least try to have a speech prepared next time. Just in case.

Dear friends,

Thank you all for your kindness and consideration this year. To receive this recognition from the wider NSGP community, from the Sir Lans Award at the Defender Awards to this award here, is truly humbling. Of course, I'm indebted to those made this possible: the other TITO Command that provided training, and the defenders that I updated with who helped keep updates fun and interesting. In particular, it's been a blast watching the members of TITO that I worked with closely. Seeing your growth over the last year has been nothing short of amazing.

Of course, it's hard to defend when there's no one raiding. Thanks to the raiders, particularly those in The Black Hawks and Lone Wolves United, for being active and giving me something to do during updates this past year. I'd especially like to thank those in The Black Hawks for welcoming me into their organization recently. I look forward to seeing what heights we can soar to together over the next year.
