i say you just play the game to your views on it
This nation doesn't represent my views... this nation represents what I imagine the game Rainbow Six Siege would be like if made into a country
Freedom is never free, so remember those who died for it

Hi, welcome to NS!.

Firstly, you have issues and policies. Issues are little pop-ups you get from time to time (You've probably already done those), and depending on what you choose, your country can be affected (Stats go up and down, Policies are formed and canceled, etc)

Then, you have Roleplay. There are several different forums that you can RP on, but I suggest you read a little bit of this and similar threads to get the basics.

You also have Regions, which are groups of nations. You'll start out in one of the Pacific Regions, and from there you can join a different region that catches your eye, there is a massive amount of regions, and you'll probably find one that'll suit you.

There's also the World Assembly and Raiding/Defending, but I'm leaving those to people who understand it far better than me.

(OOC: Since this is the GA forum, I may as well explain what the World Assembly is. In a manner very similar to the real-world United Nations, the World Assembly, or WA for short, is concerned with passing international law. The General Assembly makes legislation that targets issues such as banning torture, child labour, ending slavery, copyright law, access to medicinal drugs, and promotion of bee-keeping. You can read these laws here.

The Security Council has commendations, to recognise ‘good’ actions by a nation or region, and condemnations, to recognise ‘bad’ actions by a nation and region. Both of these are essentially badges of recognition, for being good or bad in a particularly impressive way. There are also liberations, which remove a password from a region; this is helpful if the region has been taken over.)
Hello! I’m a GAer and NS Roleplayer from the United Kingdom.
My pronouns are he/him.
Any posts that I make as GenSec will be clearly marked as such and OOC. Conversely, my IC ambassador in the General Assembly is Ambassador Fortier. I’m always happy to discuss ideas about proposals, particularly if grammar or wording are in issue. I am also Executive Deputy Minister for the WA Ministry of TNP.
Kenmoria is an illiberal yet democratic nation pursuing the goals of communism in a semi-effective fashion. It has a very broad diplomatic presence despite being economically developing, mainly to seek help in recovering from the effect of a recent civil war. Read the factbook here for more information; perhaps, I will eventually finish it.

Hi,

A few people have written guides to NationStates. You can find some of them here. I hope you find them useful!

Hi there. Don't be fooled by all those recruiters, issues and regions "gameplay" is not the only way to use this site. Many of us use the forums for roleplaying with our nations. Generally, on the forums, you can just use your imagination to say what you want your country to be like instead of having to contend with the imperfect issues system and limited regional raiding/defending gameplay.
