Region Founder Inactive and Members Seek New Leader

So I was somewhat a prominent figure in my region of Legrume, and recently our founder had ceased to exist. With the support of a few members, I am hoping to now run the region. However, I am unsure how that process works, if at all possible. Am I able to take leadership of the region, and if so how would I go about doing this?

You will want to become WA delegate which is when you have the most WA endorsements of any nation in the region. Once there my advice would be to set up a password quickly as founderless regions are prime targets for raiders. After that you will in essence be like the founder(as long as you have the most endorsements), the only downside is having your password up will limit the size of your region so you could consider refounding the region in time.

Or you could refound the region, by simply creating a new region with the same/a similar name and then pretty much copy the WFE into it. Then, tell everyone to move to the new, refounded region

I agree with vandy that u will have to move and refound u don't want to get raided and ejected I don't like tomas optionsetting password takes time where raiders can raid

You need to become a WAD. If there isn't enough natives to endorse you, you should ask some fendas for help. Theoretically they should help. Having exec Delegate isn't safe so you should probably refound. It can be tricky to do, so you should see a guide on how to do that. Essentially you want to empty the region. So just ask people to leave, eject those that don't. Make sure that your endorsements leave last, duh. When you are alone, just leave it. You will then be able to refound it with the same name, using your nation as founder.

Protecting with password works short term. You should do that to prepare for refound, if it isn't cheaper influence-wise to do a refound right away. Good luck.

If you do refound, you might want to save copies of the current region's History and RMB so that you can post those as dispatches pinned to the WFE for the region's new version.
