Statement Regarding Recent Events

Greetings,

Most of you will know me as the Emperor of the Ragerian Imperium or perhaps as Prime Minister of Balder. I will be in those positions no more.

I have committed a blatantly foolish and greedily guided act of concealing a known leaker, Moneyness, as Jake the Snake (Slitherin Snakes) within TRI and Balder. This was done over a period of many months (roughly ten) and significantly undermined the security of both of these regions that I hold so dear.

I trust that further statements released by third parties will bring to light the details of the act, but the basic premise is that I made an extremely foolish decision for the benefit of myself and my regions at the expense of others by concealing the true identity of an individual I was responsible for as a regional leader. For that, I apologize sincerely. It was an extremely misguided and ill-informed decision.

I will be evaluating how to move forward with removing myself from all positions of power in NationStates and leaving for this atrocious act I have committed.

I'm a little shocked and disappointed by this. Moneyness was a not welcome by the black hawks and leaked several ops year and half ago.

im like very sorry to hear vult leaving ns, the fact that this was hidden from the leadership of TRI to the NS R/D community wonders me and it is a shame to a good raider. Vult should have known better. You have been a good person in the raiding community and you will be missed, during my career and the time i have been here .

I am sorry Vult for hiding this from you and causing you to leave. Yes I messed up and shouldn't have released that information a long time ago. I was going through a lot during that time when one of my close friends that I hung out with a few days every week was killed in a car accident. I was struggling throughout all of that and shared it with the council. Jaker and Souls were helpful the first few weeks, but as time went on I thought I was fine and getting better and so did they. The truth was that it affected me greater than even I knew. Koth was, is, and always will be Koth. Sygian was a jerk to me sometimes and Souls even told me to ignore his comments. Those two council members were more of jerks to me when I was there. They did not mean to be but the way they would come across to me would be. Especially with what I was going through I needer nicer, kinder people like Souls, Jakker, and Vapid. While I was struggling and making mistakes as I dealt with the loss The Council decided to part ways. I expected the council to be wiser and not have Koth or Sygian since they weren't the best towards me be the ones to talk about it. They had Koth do it. The one that had been a jerk and bully to me in TBH. Koth then in the rudest, meanest way possible told me I was done from TBH. He told me the only reason people on NS liked me was for raiding. He said the most hurtful things to me when I was already going through a rough time and he knew and he didn't care. Instead he tried to push me over the edge saying he hopes I get DOSed and then told me to release sleepers that he didn't care.

I own up to the fact now that I shouldn't have released them. That part is on me and I wasn't thinking clearly going through that now. To those that sleepers I fucked up and didn't do that I am sorry. To Souls, Jakker, Rai, Vapid, Yuno and other Sergeants in TBH I am sorry for what I did then. I should have listened to you Vapid and Yuno when you told me not to and just take a week or two to deal with it. I know what I went through doesn't excuse these actions and I shouldn't have done that. For that reason I never went back to TBH. I wasn't happy there the last few months I was there and I stayed anyway which was part of the problem. I stayed because they were good at raiding and other regions weren't.

During that time I have grown up and gotten better and have a full time job now. I wanted a fresh start to have some fun and only went to TRI since I heard Sithis was here and he was good to me when I was there. During the time I was there I didn't leak or hinder any operations I participated on. Even TBH's. I am sorry for the people I have deceived, but I am happy though that people do think that I have gotten better. I would appreciate it if I could receive a second chance to enjoy this game.

I would be worried if Koth stops being Koth, Koth being Rude is essential to have a normal way to be.
Sygian is a cool kid, if he was or is a Jerk with you, means that you did something. Is hard that he by nature be like that with someone.

Well Everyone deserves a second chance... That is a true fact, BUT, Second chances are not given, you should know that better than others, Second chances are build up by yourself, you should stop hiding by different nicks, stop playing the seek and find, and think about what you want, and what is going to be your GP. BUT After this TRI - Balder stuff, will be hard to build a Third Chance, since burn up the second one.

A lot of issues are getting conflated here, and I think it's worth focusing on the things that should get someone blacklisted from Nationstates: bigotry directed at other players and serious false OOC accusations.

People keep bringing up being a leaker and lumping that into that, but tbh I don't really care if someone is leaking? That's apart of the espionage in the game and should not be conflated with the other issues in my opinion.

Anyways, Vult I think it's a good idea you step away from the game for a moment, but I hope to see you again with your judgment hopefully reassessed.

I have debated and thought dozens of times about it but each time it didn't seem like a good idea. Showing up under that name on NS I thought would cause more harm. In addition I didn't feel I deserved to that nation or any of my previous nations since what I did was wrong. I thought that starting fresh was the best way. I was not going back into a community I had been in the past so I saw no need to have my past identity known. There was nothing planned on that. That was to help explain the space of mind I was in when I leaked that information which I shouldn't have. Yes I have my own control of my body and shouldn't have done it irregardless.

Cormac you didn't have access to the SGT+ channel in TBH or the DMs. Your friends aren't perfect. Also I don't appreciate that false allegation against me of calling me a homophobe. Some of my good friends and the nicest people I've met are gay. To me it doesn't matter if they are gay or not. It is all down to if they are a nice person. One time decisions don't determine what a person is. Yes I made a mistake one time. That was it. That does not make me a constant continuous leaker. You were not in TBH and affected by the leaks. No I am not blaming that on TBH. I am admitting that what I did was wrong. Regardless what TBH did I shouldn't have stooped that low. I am also stating that TBH didn't happen it perfectly as well. There are things that they could have done as well that probably wouldn't have ended it that way.

Yes I didn't want to bring more attention to what I did to them. They do deserve one though you are right on that. To Jay first I am sorry about how I treated you at the end. Sometimes people start off with the best of intentions and it goes horribly wrong. I was trying to give advice when I thought I was right about something and I was wrong. I got frustrated and annoyed at you that you never came to me directly or first to let me know how I had bothered you. That part hurt me more since I thought we were friends before that. I wish I had been able to fix things or find a way but you had already blocked me at that point and I didn't handle that well. On a personal note, this happened to me too, six months ago, but no one seemed to care.

I hope from now on, people take false OOC accusations seriously, and punish the people who make the accusations. It didn't happen to those who did it to me... and I don't care about those liars being punished, I've resigned and given up....completely.

BUT.

My only wish is for serious OOC fake accusations to never happen to another person again. It plain hurts when you know it's fake! And it pisses you off so much when you log into NationStates, and you see complete strangers gossiping FAKE RUMORS about you, just because some prick you pissed off in the past wanted some OOC revenge.

(Only you HEM were kind enough to accept my protests about the statements being wrong, and proposed an EDIT to a false statement. Albeit I wasn't satisfied at the exclusion of the most important details, I understood that you did the best you can. Thank you again.)

I'm going to say: sorry to see you go, Vult. What you did was wrong, but you're one of the nicest folks on this game. It would be a good idea to take a step back and take a break, maybe. I will say that you should possibly step from your positions in TRI and Balder. Aside from that, I hope you learned your lesson.

As to Jake/Moneyness, I can't judge you much as I have never really met you. The entire paragraph dedicated to attacking Koth is definitely not a good sign, though. Neither is your attack on Sygian. If you consider them "assholes", that says a lot about you. I'd advice you to leave the game. It isn't worth staying. I'm unaware of what caused TBH to ban you, but I imagine it was not pretty and I trust the Council's decision. I care little about the leaks, it's the initial ban that I'm concerned about. They don't get handed out lightly.
