So the big grand solution to mending all the FA and internal blunders made over the years is... resign from the WA? And pretend to give power to some else? And did I miss the apology for the blatant Fascism and apologism that’s widespread in the CCD... no? until that is addressed And dealt with, your words are meaningless.

That said, I do believe wholeheartedly in the apology issued. I've come to realise that a lot of regions have done questionable things, and the Confederation is no exception - more so than most, in fact. But let's hope for mutual prosperity in the future. I see no need for this much hostility. I cannot speak for what the Confederation was like when you were a member, Rossiyaana, but I sure as hell can say that there's very little OOC fascism now.

Since it is apparently lost on you and the entire CCD community... A great way to disassociate yourself with OOC fascism in any form is to not talk, joke, muse, or otherwise fantasize about it in any manner. It is much better to not have screenshots like that show up, as opposed to having to explain the context to every fascist joke made in a public place by community members. Otherwise you'll always be seen as making excuses for jokes in extremely poor taste and no one wants to be that guy.

You'd think that if they didn't want to be 'that guy', the region would be taking steps to make sure they don't encounter the problem in the first place instead of embracing plausible deniability or the "it's just a joke, bro" defense.

The Confederation really needs to stop making half-hearted and pitiful excuses for itself. First your leaders tried excusing unacceptable behaviour by claiming that it was nothing more that in-character RolePlay, then they made more excuses for why the region undertook the actions it undertook. Now, they’ve finally “apologized” and “admitted that the behaviour exhibited was inappropriate and unacceptable”; yet we still see another excuse being made for something that should never be tolerated in any setting or context.

“Oh, it’s obviously an insincere comment.” Maybe so, but if that were to be the case then why even make such a comment in the first place or at all? It’s paramount that words be accompanied by actions. I’m tired of the Confederation’s words, the international community is tired of the Confederation’s words. By the looks of it, it seems as though members of that community need to watch their selection of words very carefully so as to avoid more screenshots from surfacing. Trust me, there’s plenty. My suggestion? Have some backbone. Don’t think about what an apology will do for you, Supreme Council members, but rather think about what you can do for your apology to have any meaning whatsoever.

I am legitimately thankful for your above apology, but just speaking for myself? There is too much evidence in this thread (even discounting the screenshot you have apologized for) indicating that the CCD harbours and allows fascism to circulate in its ranks.
I made this mistake once with KR. I thought they were being unfairly targeted as Nazis when they were supposedly just a German Empire RP region. I even joined with a puppet to show my support. Only for Discord logs to show up after the fact of members there- even people who I thought I was dealing with in good faith- commenting about how Jews needed to be gassed and how Hitler was right. And yes, they trotted out the same "just jokes bro!" excuse, and no it didn't work for them either.

In short? Thank you for your apology. You seem like a decent person. I am uninterested in "furthering relations" with people who are tied to a region that holds me to be subhuman though. You may not believe that, but it seems a good chunk of your region-mates do.

I think you misunderstood me. I think that many of us have been discriminated more (like personally, not as in the region) for the ways we are different by other regions than we have by the CCD.
