I guess that proves that they still do have lots of money to burn. I thought their celebration is over the top, but that takes it to a whole new level.

Oh, don't be like that, this is an anniversary very worth celebrating. Champagne?

The repeated self-commendation attempts that have failed miserably.

Oh wait, I thought you said funniest rather than fondest...

So...none.

I mean, technically if you have no other memories of the Confederation, our Commend CCD proposals would also be your fondest memory.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the Viceroy signed off on these new recipients of Hero of the Confederation, First Class (HCF) this morning. Congratulations to the following:

Andrew Campbell of The North American Powers
The first individual to be awarded any honorary title whilst not actually residing in the Confederation, Campbell's efforts as founder of the [region=United Fascist Federation] led to the vassalisation of the region and the spread of Confederation ideologies throughout the world. Campbell has advanced the Confederation and her peoples and is thus being honoured during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations.

    Sir Ladislav Baldovini of Refarria
While a recent addition to the Confederation's ranks, Baldovini has proven himself to be an able Associate Justice and upholder of Imperial Law. His tireless efforts to promote regional professionalism, particularly on the RMB, have yielded overwhelmingly positive results. Baldovini has advanced the Confederation and her peoples and is thus being honoured during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations.

    Giuseppe Michele Corelli of Lizc
TITLE AWARDED POSTHUMOUSLY The late President of Lizc truly involved himself in Confederation affairs; at one point, Lizc was regarded as a major power within the Confederation. Corelli has advanced the Confederation and her peoples and is thus being honoured during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations.

John Jacobs of United Federation Of Pancakes
John Jacobs' service to the Confederation has numbered over 30 months and has been exemplary. He first served as Grand General of the Imperial Infantry of the Grand Army of the Confederation, and then as Field Marshal of the Confederation Imperial Army of the Confederation Defence Force under the Supreme Council. His military efforts have greatly bolstered the Confederation's international reputation. Jacobs has advanced the Confederation and her peoples and is thus being honoured during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations.

    Alyssia Broussard of Cylain
Although a Hero of the Confederation, Second Class, already, the Supreme Council has seen fit to award Broussard this honour in light of her excellent effort as Secretary of State. Broussard has advanced the Confederation and her peoples and is thus being honoured during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations.

    Grulain Curronfold of Shrewllamaland
Curronfold has invested many years into the smooth running of the Confederation. Over the last twelve months he has forged ahead bravely into uncharted territory as the Confederation has expanded, successfully upholding peace and justice throughout the region. Furthermore, his exploits in the World Assembly afford him much credit. Curronfold has advanced the Confederation and her peoples and is thus being honoured during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations.

    Robert Kraaken of Jocospor
Having served as the Confederation's Delegate to the WA for over 600 days, Kraaken has helped to place the Confederation on the international stage, acting with authority and decision to combat the Confederation's many enemies within the General Assembly and the Security Council. Kraaken has advanced the Confederation and her peoples and is thus being honoured during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations.

    Walter Memmon of Jocospor
The longest reigning leader of the Confederation, a man who saw the rise of the region to what it is today, deserves to be aptly rewarded. This award is granted to His Excellency complimentary of the Supreme Council and the Imperial Empire during the Confederation's Third Anniversary Celebrations, in addition to Hero of the Confederation, Second Class.

OOC: In IC, we're just roleplaying the events taking place across the Confederation. A lot of things are held in the Imperial Empire's capital, Vocryae, and other Supreme Council nations are a hub for activity as well.

CCD removes all political tags

To the inter-regional community,

Today, the Confederation's Supreme Council has removed all the political tags from the region's homepage.

The following was issued recently on the Confederation's RMB:

To the Confederation,

A short while ago, the Supreme Council elected to remove all of the Confederation's political tags, including: Capitalist, Conservative, Fascist, Imperialist, Monarchist and Totalitarian.

Tags, though convenient for some, are restrictive categorisations of what a region actually is. Ideally, a simple "Dictatorial" tag would suit this particular region perfectly. Since no umbrella tag like that exists, we had, in an effort to demonstrate our inclusiveness, displayed a wide variety of tags we thought were relevant. As a result of these, the Confederation has been severely misinterpreted by regional and inter-regional critics alike. In the hope that such misinterpretation will cease, the Supreme Council has acted.

Furthermore, the Confederation's World Factbook Entry has been updated, to reflect this action.

The Confederation should not defined by mere isolated words, no more than any other region. She is represented for what she is through her government structure, Imperial Law, the Civil Congress and her extensive community.

The Confederation will continue to display all relevant non-political tags, including: Featured, Gargantuan, Liberated, Offsite Chat, Regional Government, Role Player, Security Council, Serious, and World Assembly.

It is the Supreme Council's hope that today's action shall improve relations across several theatres. Councillors will be sporadically available to answer questions should any arise, both on this RMB or the Confederation's Discord.

We look forward to the Confederation's continued success in the World of NationStates, and hope all shall join us for the journey.

Hail the Confederation!

Office of the Viceroy

We hope the inter-regional community will celebrate this decision, and we look forward to stronger diplomatic ties with all the regions of the world.

Hail the Confederation!

Removing the fascist tag won't convince NSGP that you aren't fascist but I appreciate the attempt.

I am legitimately unsure what you're trying to achieve. You still have embassies with a shit ton of fascist regions.

We have adapted, the issue has now become your stubbornness.

That's some beautiful ABC logic there.

We know the issue runs deeper than that, you know the issue runs deeper than that, quit trying to blow smoke up people's asses and accept that your region is a borderline fascistic cesspool and will be until you try to make a genuine effort to change that. Which you haven't, aren't and almost certainly won't. What a joke.

I am disappointed by the CCD decision to do this. Are you just going to cave to the GP community like this?

However, I respect the decision. I hope you keep fighting for the acceptance of the right wing in NS GP.

It took time to develop the reputation that you have. It will take time if you want to develop a new one. This is a step in the right direction, but it doesn't erase everyone's memory of everything that came before.
