I've actually never heard the phrase used before; I just Googled "radical Islam" and it popped up.

Googling a phrase, not really knowing what it meant, saying you'd use it as a region tag if it was available. Tag just happens to have really bad connotations with a previous tag used by the region.

Folk let things slip all the time, Freudian slips, parapraxis etc. Again it depends how generous you want to be: "living under a rock" or an alternative.

I will accept that. But let's not pretend for a moment that your mistrust here isn't also a) preferenced, and thus b) convenient. You live on this forum - and, if as you say, you interact relatively little here, well I can only assume you literally live on NationStates. You've been playing this game for a very long time, and yet you still go out of your way to engage with a small narrative like this. My/CCD's past/recent errors are clearly filling some void. Again, I suggest books or fishing.

Actually no. I didn't say it but I was entirely willing to give you the benefit of the doubt at one point several months ago as it appeared a corner was being turned, but the aforementioned has made that more and more difficult a position to take.

The debate is planned to take place on the September the 23rd at 5:30pm - 7pm UTC. The debate will be on Democratic Elections in the Confederation. That may very well be the case, but those who have scrutinised our actions for the greater part of this year will see that we are committed to change and positively interacting with NationStates. Like Blood Wine, you are a dedicated critic of myself and CCD who is also arguably biased. I hope you can appreciate the genuine intent to my apology.

As someone who has been in the region for a while at this point, I would say yes to an extent it true that we are distancing ourselves from fascism but only the OOC kind and have not denounced the entirety of fascism to my knowledge. So some are true while others are not.

I wonder how that affects IC fascism. While someone RPing as a fascist isn't guaranteed to be a fascist OOC, it does warrant a look in how you distinguish it as IC if you don't have fascistic views in real life. Some people still might not trust CCD at its word entirely, though.

Normally, when people hail fascism instead of the Confederation, even after multiple warnings, we banject them. A few people from the Iron Confederation have been doing that.

However, we can't actually tell if someone is OOC fascist if they don't actually make RMB posts/join the Discord. Basically, if you seem obsessed with Nazism/fascism, they get ejected.

I'm not sure how a statement made in response to political events in game, made in your capacity as a politician in CCD, can be "OOC." Unless you've just taken to calling everything fascist "in character" and everything else "out of character," which would be an interesting strategy for sure.

I speak for most of the active members on the Confederation Discord here, and we all agree that the repeated use of the baseless "CCD BAD AND FASCIST REEEEEEEEEEEEEE" claim is absolutely absurd.

No active member of the Confederation is fascist. Period. I have known them long enough to safely make this assumption. So... why are we being called fascist? Yes, we had embassies with fascist regions in the past, but they were closed in early May. Yes, we roleplay as fascist nations, but why does that have mean that we are actually fascists? Is Jocospor fascist? Judging from my interactions with him and what he posts as announcements, he is far from fascist. Yes we have nations who are modeled after Nazi Germany, but none of them are active and all large regions have nations like that. What the people on our Discord server see are a bunch of false claims that frankly are irrelevant. It sickens me to see the level of literal propaganda is pushed out to reinforce the "CCD FASCIST" idea.

I have a suggestion for you all. Next time you call us Nazis, Fascists, etc etc, get evidence to go with it. And not evidence from literally 2 years ago, I mean recent and relevant information.
