In light of the recent General Secretary elections, i've been made aware of the CCD and Joco! I know absolutely nothing about either, so i'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Is there anything I should know? I have been on nationstates for less than a month, so i'm honestly clueless, but i've heard some harsh accusations here and there.

Of course, I agree completly! It's why I asked here in the first place, as opposed to asking (for example) the 10000 Island RMB. I've seen enough to know that i'd be getting a biased point of view from my honorable region.

Ok, well, for a view from the CCD's perspective, ShrewLlamaLand or Depackya would be the best people to contact as they are both high-ranking loyalists of the region and are also the most diplomatic. They're in a ready capacity to represent the image of what they want their region to be. Whether they make sense or not is for you to decide.

For the other side of the equation, both The Chuck and South Reinkalistan are popular critiques of the region and can provide you with comprehensive reasons as to why, whether they make sense or not is for you to decide.

It amuses me how little you know of who actually did most of the heavy lifting against Jocospor and how you assume that most of it was the doing of the candidates themselves. Do you just blame the candidates because they are the names you recognize, or for the TGs? Either way, the dispatch is fairly wrong in several areas and fails to recognize people who paid you more attention than did the candidates.

Incidentally, it wasn't vote rigging. Politics is politics, and you just happen to be on the losing side of the politics you keep attempting to disrupt or coup. Maybe you should take a minute to really reflect on exactly how much your own behavior has contributed to your position.

I understand you probably want recogniton too, but I really don't care to put it frankly - of course these candidates weren't the only ones, the whole WA Elite was probably involved.

I'll pass on being a dispatch star for CCD or anyone else, thanks. It's more an issue of your problem with the political side of the game is way bigger than you seem to think if you're seeing the candidates as your greatest enemies in your fantasy world where a WA Elite controls everything and you are valiant rebels against this evil body. A number of the candidates haven't even gone near the World Assembly or its legislation before, and many don't even have strong ties to major regions that you consider part of your mythical nemesis. Calling them in particular the WA Elite is hardly accurate. All of them have one thing in common and it has nothing to do with a great cabalist conspiracy against the innocent CCD: They have no ties to fascism, haven't tried to coup The North Pacific, and don't liberally spam WA nations with inane Telegrams for various purposes - mainly recruitment. As for your "we're not fascists" argument: You don't have to be fascist yourself to have harbored ties to them in the past and openly continue to do so.

FACT: He was actually close to reaching the finals, actually, he was CERTAINLY going to reach the finals, but due to Four Nations (Which i won't call WA elite because i will get laughed at) trying to prevent this with all their power (because they like unfair game). he failed to do so.
