Ahem. In an attempt to reclaim this thread for sensible regional discussion (and not a battleground for arguments around the misguided notion that the CCD is fascist), shall we, the members of the region, actually use our thread for once? :^)

No thread ownership. And discussing the shite that Joco attempted to pull against TNP in light of previous shite is pretty relevant regional discussion; the fact that it may make the CCD uncomfortable is neither here nor there.

I would like to state that last night things got out of hand. It’s obvious, duh. I can’t help but feel partially responsible for this, seeing as things heated up with my Dispatch. That dispatch was not a fabrication or side to anyone. I speaking as a troubled person who sees the faint light the CCD holds. Sure, our reputation may not be the best, and it’ll be hard for it to ever be that good. I have read your evidence, I have even laughed at some of it, but have taken it to heart. I’m not leaving the ccd nor do I plan to. I’ve built myself here, regardless of whether or not you believe I’m not fascist. The important thing is that the CCD knows I’m not fascist.

To Morover And rossiyaana: You both left the CCD on bad terms, and at the time, and even to this very day, I have not had one ill intention. I supported you, Morover, when you created your Defense Case Program, though it didn’t work out properly. Rossi, up until your departure I had thought you were an ally. I don’t think you’ve said any direct ill favors toward me, but some stuff you said (which sadly I have no proof for, so take it with a grain of salt or sugar), was rather questionable. But I have since forgiven the actions. Both of you continue to grow in the region(s) you reside in, and that’s something I couldn’t be happier about. You both were brothers of the Confederation, and long will I think of you as such. I hope in the future our conflicts can be patched.

To the rest of the nations I upset with that comment about Hitler: I didn’t mean any harm in the sentence. I regret saying it and I know I can’t come back from said sentence. To be quaint, the context was of an unnamed nation who had a fascist regime take over their nation. I absolutely went against it, not once did I participate in it. I am a scientific and fantasy Based Nation in the CCD. Nowhere close to fascist. But I apologize for the comment.

From here I can only hope relations either calm or grow fond. I would love to, as Transnista said, build relations with nations of all regions. Not specifically regions, as that could cause strain.

I hope you take this not as a bad member of the CCD, but as a normal player of NS.

“CCD bad” wouldn’t be an issue at the forefront of anyone’s mind since most of the time we ignore you unless you do something that draws our attention. Trying to coup TNP brought you into the worst possible spotlight. You’re going to be stuck with it for a while because it’s one of the biggest things that upsets people - and you picked the worst possible region on which to attempt a coup.

To be fair, their damage control attempts were already going poorly. They had one guy who managed to sound reasonable and won them some points which the others then quickly lost again...but if I'm not mistaken, that same guy turned out to be a fascist. One of the fascists CCD claimed they didn't harbor. So yeah. Damage control for them is harder than it is for a normal region that had been caught in the same act exactly because of their fascist ties.
