Hiya!

I think I have to say how I perceive the NPO. But first a bit of background. I used to be NPO for like 4 months and it was a great community. Well until the whole thing with Lazarus and Osiris came to light and the secretive and shadier, unethical culture with by the then top tiers NPOer got exposed. I was very disappointed with it. The reactions of the top tier that got exposed weren't exactly helpful either. So I left the NPO and was ready to plot and to fight with the APC. But that did not come into fruition. Though I did argue a lot xP

The recent developments, however, made me reconsider my stance and my course of action towards TP. I came to the conclusion that I was too hasty and too angry. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.

I hereby wish to apologize towards the NPO for my hostility towards them. And I hope the reforms will be permanent. I wish them well for the future. May TP flourish for the next 10 years to come ^-^

Thank you for this, but it is unnecessary.

While I am glad to hear that you feel you were a bit hasty and can see the changes that are taking place, it doesn’t change the fact that your initial reaction was in response to very real and unfortunate actions by members of the NPO Senate.

A mistake is a mistake even if there is a plethora of explanation, they are never an excuse.

I don't want to be rude, but can I get a clarification or rewording of your phrase? I am a bit confused on how it applies to the situation. (Sorry if I'm just being an idiot and not understanding something obvious).

Not giving the NPO enough time to react and a chance for the new government to prove themselves was wrong. Even if storming out of the NPO was understandable.

Ah, ok. Yeah, I see now how it fits. Thanks and sorry for bothering you.

Funkadelia and Lamb have endorsed the NPO delegate.

No commentary to add. Just thought I'd point this out.

Those actually surprised by this after Funk left the FRA and became a raider, raise your hands.

Now, on a more serious note, please note I've update our OP to reflect the current state of the government of The Pacific. Apologies for the delay!

Now if the NPO started handing out bottles of a nice Aussie Shiraz I would be suspicious, but sweets?

Edit: actually if they did that I’d probably defect. My wine cellars in TWP were raided while I was away.

My oh my, and how much Aussie Shiraz would I really need to make this happen? :p

He didn't actually leave the FRA. The FRA dissolved and ceased to exist prior to his decision to depart the defender sphere.

Acknowledgement of Cease of Hostilities

Earlier today, the Delegate of Pacifica, Cormactopia Prime, communicated to us formally that, as per the terms of their new Charter (Article V, Section 2 specifically), Pacifica has rescinded its declaration of war against the NPO, and no longer considers a state of war to exist between our regions.

We would like to publicly acknowledge this communication, and reciprocate the statement that the NPO does not consider a state of war to exist between our regions anymore.

From the Senate and the People of the Pacific, we wish the people of Pacifica good luck in their future endeavors, plans, projects and activities.

Signed,

East Durthang, Emperor
Pierconium, Consul

Japanese Schoolgirls, Pontifex
Jar Wattinree, Tribune
Shnailand, Censor

Does that mean Pacifica may participate in operations with NPO forces in the future?

Those that have opposed The Pacific in this situation have accomplished much, and I am sure they will remain vigilant against future similar behavior.
The Pacific, on their part, have recognized their need to change and have taken significant steps to do so.
This announcement is another welcome development.

The new Charter limits Pacifica's military forces to defense of Pacifica and our treaty allies. Military activity in general will be rare.

We don't want to derail the NPO's embassy thread with stuff about Pacifica, so please anyone direct any further questions about Pacifica, its new Charter, our position on this or that, etc. that aren't directly related to the NPO to me by telegram. Thanks!
