The New Pacific Order has concluded its second election for the "Vox Populi".

Please join us in congratulating Marina of Marina's Island as the second Vox Populi of the Order. We also would like to thank Roquentin of T-Ara for his service these last 6 months.

The Senate is looking forward to working with Marina, and also with Roquentin's input, in implementing changes and adjustments for the Vox Populi to better bring our Body Republic closer to the Senate.

Also, stay tuned, as our Emperor and Delegate, East Durthang, is preparing an update on the status of the New Pacific Order!

Marina has consistently proven to all she meets that she possesses wisdom, loyalty, and dedication in ample amounts. In the time that I have known her, I have never once been let down by her, and, given her easy going attitude, believe her to be the perfect recipient of this post. I know she’ll do it justice, and strive to put on display what are, frankly, superhuman levels of efficiency.

Greetings from the New Pacific Order, and the people of The Pacific.

For the past year, the New Pacific Order has been in a process of internal restructuring and self-reflection based on the events of last year, and the consequences those had for our region in general, as well as for the larger NS landscape. During this period, the leadership of the Order has changed, policies have been made to prevent and avoid repeating the mistakes of the past, old stale ideas have been abandoned, and an unprecedented sweeping vision for the region's future has been formulated.

Now, we are finally at a point where we feel comfortable restarting Diplomatic Corps missions around the world of NS. We look forward to making new friends and mending old friendships, or, at least, being able to hold official conversations with all regions and nations around the world.

For this purpose, Elegarth (The Seeker of Power) agreed several months ago to accept the position of Legatus of the New Pacific Order. As such he wields the power to formally represent the New Pacific Order, the Senate and the Emperor in foreign affairs matters, at his and the Senate's discretion. He is tasked with reestablishing relationships with all interested regions and with initiating official communication channels with those who may not desire a further relationship with us, but with whom we would like to be able to at least converse diplomatically.

Furthermore at this time I wish to announce that Pierconium has decided to step down as Consul due to new real life commitments. We would like to extend our thanks to him for stepping up to assist the region in its time of need and wish him well with his endeavors outside of NationStates. In a break from past precedents, Pierconium will retain advisory governmental access within the New Pacific Order to provide future generations with counsel. Stepping into his shoes as the next Consul of the New Pacific Order will be none other than Elegarth, who will also continue his duties as Legatus until such a time that a successor is named to the post.

I'm glad to see Elegarth named as Consul. He was the only person I suggested could be trusted to reform the NPO as Emperor following last year's events.
