Given that the office has no actual power, and the Emperor can veto an election, this is still very much the old NPO. No worries.

Incorrect. The Emperor can veto the election based on the elected nation being a security risk and is obligated to inform the Body Republic of the reason. This is no different than any other region having a means of keeping a security threat out of office.
The nation is a member of the Senate and has the same authority as all members of the Senate. So, again, incorrect.

And realistically, how much proof of being a "security threat" will the Emperor have to provide?
Regarding having as much authority as any Senator: Yes, exactly. Senators have no actual authority. Only the Emperor has any true authority in the NPO.

Every time you speak, it seems like you expect/want the Pacific to become a democracy. Which, as has been said repeatedly, is off the table. The Senators do in fact have power as the Emperor doesn’t run the NPO by his lonesome without anyone else’s opinion or help. The Emperor has the seat because the the Pacific’s citizens allow him. If we had any interest in a democracy, it’d already have been done. Unlike real life, an authoritarian ruler can’t really shoot you for being against him or at least not supporting him (which really, it is all you’d need in order to oust someone in NS, no direct opposition required, just no support).

Did the Pacific lose its ban button while I wasn't looking? You're sure talking like the Emperor can't just ban anyone who won't endorse him (not endorsing him is against your laws), let alone anyone who dares speak in opposition. So I assume the Pacific must have lost its ban button overnight last night.

Mhm, of course they can't!
...but remind me, how did those 130 something nations get in TRR again?

No, I like the line of arguement. Helps me a lot when I decide to kick over a founderless region and defenders pull a holier-then-thou seated on their moral high horses charging ahead with glorious arguements like "but the poor natives".
Best of all? My actual puppets haven't been banned. At all.
EDIT: what I'm trying to say is that your entire arguement about not "getting shot"/getting banned is pure and utter bullshit. Not very well thought out, even for propaganda.

Heh, considering that ‘the poor natives’ was one of the arguments used by some in the APC before ‘the poor natives’ laughed in their faces...

Not sure who you're referring to here. Mind elaborating? Also, I haven't seen you try to fight my claim your entire arguement from a minute ago was a pile of horseshit. Most interesting.

You say that like there's any difference between us and any other GCR. Only the delegate has any real, material authority. We just don't try to dress it up with any other pretence.

Hmmm... what's this election about then?
Also to Airengard: lolwut. If you can be banned for simply *being* in the Pacific, you honestly believe that you won't be banned for disagreeing?

It is funny to say something and repeatedly ignore all the context around it. Lolwut, TBH raided X region so of course they’re going to raid Y. Lolwut, Cormac has been elected to Z position so of course he will be elected to H. You can simplify any situation down to favourable rhetoric if you simply decide to dismiss everything around it.
(Not to mention the fact that they weren’t banned, only kicked, and could return at any time, something that pokes more holes in your rhetoric than the rest of the text.)

...what? Please give me something I dismissed around this arguement?
If that pokes more holes in my rethoric then anything else, my reasoning must be quite sound. If you can be kicked only for being around there and they don't find you useful, do you legitimately believe they will keep you around if you disagree with them? It's one thing to be unproductive. It's another to be openly disagreeing.
