We are famous the world over for (mostly) friendly locals, sandy beaches, beautiful weather, awful jokes, bangin' choons and peace amongst nations. South Pacific is a true beauty!

Interesting choice of flag. Quite beautiful, but interesting...

I've seen that symbol associated with ancient and Medieval Turkic tribes, as well as modern nationalist pan-Turkic and pan-Slavic movements.

I'd be very interested to hear how you settled on this symbol for your flag.

It's rather a funny story. It wasn't my first choice. I googled beach themed flags in hopes of finding a cheerful flag. That one popped up, and I like the design. It sends a really nice message. We are an open region, but we don't like spammers, and trouble makers. And I really like the design of this flag.

No lol, and thank you! I really like a light blue, and lime green. It reflects my personality. Over time, I eventually like to get a beach flag design. For now though, it's our new flag

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree.

Unfortunately, that symbol has been co-opted by a number of disparate (sometimes violent) nationalist groups. While it has innocuous origins, it may wind up being divisive.

It's not like using a swastika, but it may invite comparisons and associations that you hadn't intended.

That's the main reason why I chose the flag. Betsy Ross is an inspiration because she created the first American flag.

My fellow citizens,

When I ran for this office, I said that we would modernize our region. When I took over as Delegate, I created a Discord, and the nation to store all of our important information. Holly United took my forum idea, and created a beautiful forum. It has grown to be an amazing creation. The very first big amendment I am proposing is a stronger, and updated constitution that will serve as the living, breathing, and governing document of our region. This amendment is to create something bigger than us. The Discord, the forum, and the recording nation will be official property of this region. My whole Delegacy is about one thing. That's to create a community that will outlive my time as Delegate. We are going to make it so that any elected Delegate doesn't come to into this office not knowing what to do. My proudest creation is the Emergency Electoral Council. This council will be the most important part of this region. It will consist of 4 former Delegates and 5 once I leave office. I am asking you for your support because this is the first revolutionary step to modernizing our region. So with no further to do, I hereby propose the new official constitution of the South Pacific! Been a while since I've used our GP embassy, but I feel this is important enough that it's worth posting here.

I am resigning as Foreign Secretary, having found that the foreign policy I am expected to represent is "yes fascists but no raiders".
Please see the dispatch below for more details, but the tl;dr is that the government of South Pacific is apparently quite happy to have embassies with fascists, and the delegate's actions yesterday, especially banning the lead in the fash-bash on Sacrumterra, show that he is comitted to this policy of supporting fascist regions.

Hopefully using this thread won't be considered gravedigging, since as of writing I'm still technically SP's foreign secretary using SP's GP embassy.
