Yeah uh.... three minutes doesn't count as a trigger mate.

Three minutes was a warning in case anybody felt like jumping with me. I didn't expect anyone to, but I did not give up hope.

The true trigger was called via post edit. There were 15 seconds between my jump (simultaneous to the post edit) and the beginning of update in The Pacific:

This would have been a valid tactic for December but is largely pointless now that the ROs have secured a firm Influence base.

Obviously, the position is debatable.

My belief is that if such actions were undertaken while the Senate was in transition, with many of the nations having very low Influence levels, that at the very least, concern and stress would have been imparted onto those nations. If done correctly and consistently I think we would have seen nations having to be more diligent at updates, executing more ejections to fuel the oppositions propaganda campaign, and diminishing morale within the NPO.

Ultimately, you are correct, this would not have broken the NPO. It would not have destroyed the government or seen us driven from the Pacific. But it certainly would have perpetuated certain levels of distress and hampered our campaign towards political organisation and our foreign policy objectives.

I know that there were suggestions for this to take place from the outset, and we were actively preparing for this very eventuality. It was surprising when the so-called Anti-Pacific Coalition didn’t coordinate such actions at the very beginning.

But, we can agree. Doing so now is certainly a waste of time and effort.

I disagree too that it would have been wholly ineffective. If you were looking for long-term devastation or dethroning as an end result of attrition, yes, that wouldn't have been attained. However, like Ivan said, in the short term, some of us would have been drained and it would have kept us locked for months rebuilding lost influence. Instead we went a few months with enough endos to get the influence we originally lacked and no efforts to hinder influence gain. It takes longer to build significant influence than it does to spend it.

But...Galiantus...this was honestly something that needed to be done in December when we had very low influence on most ROs. Now you'd be pure entertainment rather than any kind of problem for us.
