The great Harry Seldon has invented a whole new branch of science that can called psycho-history, it can determine the future of large group of individuals based on statistics. Only a hand full of people have the mental capabilities to become psycho-historians and the best among them can become a part of the ruling class of the Foundation.
Roomers among the public even claim that they can manipulate the emotions of their subjects, which makes it absolutely impossible for a man to not love them without even knowing why?
