Hello Everyone!

It’s that time of year again. It’s time for the Defender Awards 2018! The awards were originally run by the Founderless Regions Alliance, but for the second year in a row The Order of the Grey Wardens will play host to the festivities. We invite you to join us to celebrate the past year of defending, its achievements, and more.

The awards for this year are the same as last year. Below is a list with some short descriptions of what they are.

Best Defender Mentor [Individual] (Training New Defenders)
Eluvatar Award [Individual] (Tech)
Karputsk Award [Individual] (Liberations)
Numero Capitan Award [Individual] (Intelligence Work)
WASC Award [Individual] (WASC Authorship)
Lifetime Achievement Award (Dedication to Defending)

The event will take place on the Grey Wardens forum. If you’d like to fully participate, you can register on our forums and sign in at the welcome desk to be masked.

Nominations for the awards will take place on the forums from July 8th to July 15th.

Voting will take place from July 15th to July 22nd. More information on how to vote will be given when we reach that phase in the awards.

Idk, I think TGW would give you a run for your money. In fact, that would probably end up being the most competitive award from how things have been of late.

That would explain that whenever I checked on Lincord at minor update somewhat occasionally, it was dead.

According to history search, the last time you did something with us was in APRIL. Maybe that's why minor looked dead? How about using facts instead of piling onto raider snark?

I only occasionally checked, but I haven't this month. Only around in Late May and early June. I think I was a bit unlucky at the times I was available.

Yes defenders miss raids and fail to prevent them all the time. Keen insight. Sometimes we're even busy. *gasp* . It's a pretty interesting theme where every time defenders hold any kind of event over the last year or so raiders come and try to derail the topic.

Someone simply provided a prime setup and I took advantage. I'm sure the event is sizable enough to not be derailed by one retired raider who you're attributing their personal comments to all of raiding Look forward to seeing the award show go on!

I think it may be a TGW thing. Looking back at the old FRA awards, defenders or defender orgs were often nominated, and in a few years were recipients of the award.

Of course it's a TGW thing. When do they not take an opportunity to engage in mean-spirited mocking of raiders, which is all that award is about? To be fair, mean-spirited mockery is all it was about when the FRA had it too, but at least defenders were eligible for the mocking as well.
