An awesome post to read from the League here, and a very fitting ending for Layem in NS. It was very fun to help participate in this operation, and I look forward to the piling on all of Layem's former regions.

Xoriet looked at the videos of the field of devastation left behind in the Confederacy of Layem. Satisfaction was the most obvious emotion present on her face. It had been a long time coming that such a thorn in the side of her faction of the metaverse was finally eliminated. Now friends and allies would no longer have to wait in resignation for the persistent efforts to harm them through poor attempts at psychological warfare by the leaders of what had been the Layemite scourge. Finally, they were out of the way and there would be no further problems posed by those individuals. Those who remained would experience morale severely damaged by the removal of their leader and the losses of several consecutive homes.

What better ending could they have wished upon this lot? They were, or would soon be, exiles from the region which had created such a culture that it had united long-standing rivals, feuding factions, and even openly hostile parties to a singular, glorious cause.

"Good riddance," Xoriet commented, the faintest of smiles on her lips. "And may every place your refugees ever set foot be similarly and summarily razed should the vileness of the region be carried abroad to new shores. Because don't worry, we will be there should that come to pass. You can all count on it."

With that, Xoriet switched away from the screening of the remnants of the battle and returned to contemplating the cheesecake on her desk.

There have been a number of developments in the Department of Foreign Affairs:

On 11 May 2022, the Treaty of Morya was finalised between The League and Europeia, marking a new era in our relations and a move to on-site embassies.

We have a number of projects in progress continuing into this month that we look forward to releasing and statements will be released in due time.

All reassignments of ambassadors may be viewed here.

The League's Defense Forces Foreign Report

The LDF had an active and diverse month of activity in May, including both defensive and offensive operations. Early on in the month we conducted training and practice exercises with our new allies in the Europeian Republican Navy, before contributing extensively to the liberations or Kovorvia and Dune. For the latter half of the month, we focused on our extremely quick LDF-led raid of Concord where many regions helped us in shutting down the region, before shifting focus to piling for the destruction of Confederacy of Layem.

The General of the League Defense Forces at the time of this report is New Makasta.

Consulate Foreign Report

Nominations for the May–July Council term concluded in mid-May 2022, during which, 10 delegates were nominated and confirmed; nine to two months terms and one to a one month term. Zloveshchiy was reconfirmed to serve a full two-month term as the Speaker of the Council.

The Consulate began considering amendments to the Constitution of the Republic which would involve the abolition of the regional court, delegating its powers and authorities to both the Consulate and the Council, the striking of the “stayers” status from Article I, and the amendment of the bill of rights and potentially include regional responsibilities for citizens.

Spode Humbled Minions was appointed as one of the region’s Archivists of the Republic on 18 May.

Council Foreign Report

The Council of the Republic was active this month, with early votes being called for prohibiting the Osiris Fraternal Order and The Brotherhood of Malice following their raid against the Warzone Empire in March, both votes passing unanimously. Additionally, the Treaty of Morya was unanimously approved by the Council following negotiations between The League and Europeia. This month's nominations cycle saw ten individuals ascending to the Council, most of which were selected for two month terms. Zloveshchiy was appointed as Speaker for his first full term following a brief interim period following the resignation of Ajakanistan.

The Speaker of the Council at the time of this report is Zloveshchiy.

The LDF expeditionary voyage to Fort Concord was a long and tiring one. Many of those selected to serve on its crew grew bored and nauseous of the choppy waters, and Quebecshire and Paleocacher longed for the luxury and comfort of the Consular mansions whilst Private The Universe World in The League completed his chores in a rush after waking up late to find the remainder of the forces already on the deck.

Was the trip glorious or enjoyable? No, but the adventure to meet Mechanocracy and inform him of the latest news was one which had to be completed, and who better to sail the Pacifics to inform him than the valiant forces of the LDF itself?

Suddenly, a bang in the distance altered those on deck, jolting Paleocacher from his early morning rest. Quebecshire quickly changed course, detouring from the route briefly to investigate the disturbance. Not long after the cause was revealed: marauders from The Brotherhood of Malice had begun firing upon nearby islands, now having their deeds returned upon them by The Order of the Grey Wardens and The West Pacific, and the Leaguer ship moved forward at full speed to meet them in battle.

On occasion their fleet could be threatening. Slow and relying on direct force, they regularly antagonized those passing through, sometimes being as unwise as to sail far and wide to find new enemies for themselves across the seas. However, in these small numbers, they stood no chance against the protectors of the sea. This was clearly noticed by the other ships, as a communication was heard from one of the great Western fleet's most active sailors Varanius,

LMAO what, they only brought four of them?

Despite landing some early and few and far between strikes, in a few cases due to the distraction of Varanius, the raiders were no match for their Leaguer, Warden, feederite counterparts. Reduced to only five strikes despite thirty attempts, they were banished to the sea floors, undoubtedly crushed in their attempts at intimidation.

With the menace pushed back, the victorious forces said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. Paleocacher manned the ship whilst others took their turns at rest, and it soon entered the river into the maintain and reached its destination port: the first frontier.

Disclaimer: This report will read like an insane/sleep-deprived ramble, deal with it.

Wow! Two reports in one day?! Surely this one will be just as high quality and effort-based as the last one, right?

No. I'm tired.

What does any person crave? Power? Money? Happiness? Well sure, those are cool. But do you know what's even cooler? Political vindication on some old browser game, naturally. I do quite enjoy being right.

Raiders dared show tonight, and they were defended in 21 targets. Now, you might be asking, "But Quebecshire, 21 isn't that many, you guys have stopped more even in recent nights!", well, be quiet and let me finish you heckler. In contrast to our 21 defenses, raiders secured an epic 0 hits, the only targets we didn't defend being those they missed entirely.

But hey, we had good fun in VC with plenty of time to spare given the sizeable gaps between each jump and the hefty victories of our doomstack (which reached approximately 20 defenders in size at one point).
