Even this aside, if a region violates another region's sovereignty the way Genua did with The League, it's valid to retaliate, including against their allies. Using some other region's territory as a staging ground to invade another region, without that region's permission, and especially when that region is against raiding, is a pretty clear act of aggression. So the fascists really have nothing to complain about; they invaded The League first and The League retaliated. Simple as that.

Fascist ideology is sickening, and a sign of cowardice so detached from reality that that inspires a feeling not to dissimilar to the emotion evoked by having to clean up vomit. Which thankfully this group has volunteered to do, as do many others both online and offline, because we don't want other people to get sick. But really, the LDF has two principle scenarios in which it will authorize offensive operations against a region or regions, and it's worth noting that neither of these is uncommon for defender organizations.

1. That region is out-of-character yuck (this includes and is primarily in regard to fascism).
2. The region is an invader region and/or has directly provoked The League and its sovereignty (or that of its allies).

Funnily enough, you guys fit both points perfectly! LDF Central Command had zero difficulties in deciding if this was something we were going to pursue.

I can't say I'd be likely to authorize an attack on allies as well for this reason if it wasn't a fascist region with fascist allies, but who knows. While we did delegate bump them about forty days ago, I'm not interested in pretending I'm going to play in good faith with fascists, and their staging from The League was a clear furthered act of aggression and escalation specifically designed to attempt to make us be angry. For some reason, they seem to think even though we retaliated much more strongly than their simply staging from us that I've been "humiliated." Don't get me wrong, it did make us angry, I was quite petty about it, but obviously, we decided to respond with action. If Genua had simply staged from some dead region or an actual JP, we probably just would have ran with Libcord last night like normal and only removed their single tag and then moved on. But nah, they chose violence, I suppose.

I'd say your embassies with Farkasfalka and Genua probably made you a target. Couldn't say for sure because I wasn't involved in the op or the region involved, but those are good embassies to paint a target on your back.
