I considered using proboards for regions, I've used it for social clubs and things but it always seemed like a dumbed down version of ZB. If I were to look to your pic example "forum staff" would take me right out of IC as far as running a regional government or presenting a proboards forum as the main part of the region.

The "Forum Staff" bit was something custom that I added to the mini-profile template. There is a lot that can be added, or removed, from that part.

I was wondering, what with ZetaBoards on its way out in favour of Tapatalk, what is the premier forum hosting service that the vast majority of NationStates communities will utilize once the conversion occurs?

Is free forum hosting comparable to paid forum hosting? If not, what are my options in the ways of a paid service? I'm definitely not a masterclass technician by any stretch of the imagination, but I am very familiar with HyperText Markup Language (H.T.M.L.), Cascading Style Sheets (C.S.S.), and BBCode. So, I'm essentially looking for a service that is similar to ZetaBoards in mechanics and functionality considering that is what I have grown accustomed to managing as a board administrator via its control panel.

Is it possible to gain features that ZetaBoards did not have by employing a paid forum hosting service? Or, at the very least, keep the older features that were already available for little to no cost on a new provider?

I'm just trying to get a feel for what is considered a "modern" hosting service for a community to be created off-site, so I do apologize if this is not the correct forum to be posting in.

I'm trying to be helpful. It's not like I've been asking for money for this, and when people are considering shelling out on hosting for forums I don't think it's particularly rude to offer to host it for them and save them some cash in the process.
