You understand that historically speaking that's very much in character, which is a big reason why the NPO's needed to make a point of abolishing francoism, so it will be a long while before people are willing to believe the change is really. I get the whole needing to see changes long term to believe it, and that's something we're working on as well, but what
he's saying - that we still practice it and just lie about it to all of you for PR - is a matter of basic common sense and a general insult to intelligence. Who in their right mind would think that it was a good idea to practice something internally and say it's not true to everyone else when they have cosmopolitan citizens who could out it at any second?
The argument that people
usually make is that it will probably come back as soon as the current administration is gone just like happened with Ivan, not that we're dumb enough to secretly keep practicing something after publicly abolishing it and trust that it can never possibly be exposed.
