I'm looking for a simple redesign of my nation's flag. I think it essentially looks good, but is perhaps a bit too complex. I'd like one that a child could draw accurately.

The bird is an osprey, and the tree is a Ponderosa pine. The tree itself is rather distinct from other pine trees, so a fir or something won't do. Unfortunately, there's relatively few Ponderosa pine silhouettes on Google images.

Any redesign is welcome. The tree is more important to me than the osprey, so if you think it needs to go, it shall.

Heya, I've been fiddling with gimp for ages and it takes so long to do all the intricate bits of this wreath, I was wondering if anyone could quickly just reverse the colour palettes of the black sun and the wreath? https://imgur.com/fdyXNZu (Make the sun white and the wreath the same gold as the sun). My request doesn't have much constraints, I'd just like a nice, clean flag that is symbolic to the nations of Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and East Timor. I would love to see the sun from the Filipino flag incorporated in some way but it doesn't have to be.

Quick tutorial. Assuming you have the symbols on separate layers, then you can
a) Use the curves tool, set the value to max by dragging the left hand end to the top.
That turns everything white.
b) On a white layer, use the bucket fill, set to fill whole selection in multiply mode. That re-colours it to exactly match the colour you used.
