UCR Con is back for it's second year!! Starting Nov 22nd (Friday) - 25th (Monday), join us for fun, games, lectures, daily questions, game nights and giveaways! Add your region to the regional showcase to help other players get to know it. We hope to have as much fun this year as we had last year, and look forward to another amazing turnout.

We are currently looking for interested regions to fill the regional showcase, as well as people who would like to give a lecture, whether through voice or text, on various subjects related to User Created Regions and gameplay at large. If you are interested in giving a lecture or having your region featured in the regional showcase this year please either send a telegram to Aynia Moreaux, or shoot me a message on discord (Aynia#1337) with either the region you'd like showcased or your preferred lecture topics and date and time you can give them. Time slots are first come first serve and can be any time you prefer.

RULES:

To be as transparent as possible, I'd like to lay some rules for the convention out here just to give everyone a fair heads up:

1. Lecture topics must be on a subject pertaining to UCR's or gameplay. This can include things like governance, rp, culture, FA, delegates or other things of the like. Lectures must be kept pg-13.

2. To sign up for the regional showcase you must hold a leadership position in your region that allows you to make foreign affairs or cultural decisions, as well as have the appropriate permission from your region.

3. If your region harbors DOS players, promotes hateful ideologies, or causes trouble during the convention, the Organizers reserve the right to remove said region from the regional showcase, and if necessary, kick or ban any players acting inappropriately.

4. DOS players are not allowed to enter the convention. This is nothing personal, just keeping things game related and heading off any potential trouble.

5. The most important rule. If you follow this rule, you'll be golden: Don't be a dick. Just be nice and we'll have no issues. Remember, nobody wants to spend their leisure time with a rude person <3

Caer Sidi is ALSO hosting it's very first ever mega livestream for the Extra Life project. What is Extra Life? It's when streamers and gamers get together to help raise money for sick kids. So far we have raised over $40 out of our $100 goal!

We'll be hosting our stream on November 3rd from 9am EST to 5pm EST. We'd love to have you join us. The event will be streamed through my twitch channel, and we'll have a special discord room for those who'd like to jump in and play with us. We plan to play things like Ark, Arma 3, Gmod and possibly others. We have an amazing group of gamers in Caer Sidi and I know it's going to be a blast.

October 2019 Foreign Update

The Winter King Steps Down:

On October 22nd, our beloved Winter King, Roran Streunhoff, stepped down citing a lack of available time to dedicate to the region. We’d like to take this time to talk about Ro and the influence he has been on the community.

Ro joined not long after the conception of CS, and has been a major figure in our rp community ever since. He is responsible for compiling lore and history about the region, creating a multitude of new roleplays with varying themes and interesting ideas, and a driving force behind our regional roleplay. He’s always been around to bounce ideas off of for new characters, plotlines and rp ideas. Without him, I know that our roleplay sector would have completely stagnated and for that reason I, on behalf of all Caer Sidi, thank you for everything you’ve done.



A Monarchy Emerges:

Not long after the abdication of the Winter Throne, Summer Queen Aynia Moreaux issued a Royal Order abolishing the current constitution, stripping the Interior Council of their positions and eliminating the mod team. She appointed a mix of old and new to her new council, and created to new positions: The Oracle and the Game Master.

The Oracle is responsible for overseeing all roleplay within the region. This title has been given to Ro as he is more than deserving and we know he will do an amazing job.

Our new Game Masters will consist of those people who dedicate their time to leading our gaming community. Our very first Game Master appointed is Kari Mantag.

The region will now be transitioning to a Monarchy, with a new Regent position given to Cpt. Carrot Moreaux. The Constitution has been largely rewritten and worded to include the removal of the Diarchy and the newly created positions.

Only one week away until the Extra Life Mega Live Stream!! We'll be hosting the live stream from 9am-5pm EST November 3, on twitch and playing together in a special discord channel on Caer Sidi's discord. If you're interested in watching the stream, or even playing with us, we'll be playing games like G-Mod, Pub-g, Ark, Conan, maybe some Stellaris or other Paradox games. We're also up for suggestions on things to stream, so if you have a game idea throw it out there! We'd love to have you join us, whether you are able to donate or not, to have fun and support a great cause!

Thank you everyone who attended this year's UCR Con! You've all been the reason this has went so well and from myself and the organizers we'd like to give a big thank you to our lecturers, and everyone who participated, whether it be by attending lectures, daily questions, giveaways or anything else that helped to bring activity to the event.

Looking forward to next year's UCR Con, there will be a bigger organization team, more games, music nights and interactive things to do with the con. We'll also be vetting our lectures a bit better, and just generally polishing up the logistics. We hope that next year is even better than this weekend!

I'd like to also give a big thank you to August, because without him the regional showcases would have been so much harder >.< thank you, August, for all the help you've given!

Caer Sidi Statement on Relations with The Enadian Union

On February 2, 2020, Caer Sidi entered into a treaty with the Enadian Union. In addition to this we also joined the Enadian “Arcade” project on January 25, 2020, with our Queen, Aynia Moreaux, serving as Vice President Human Resources and Public Relations. On April 10, 2020 the administration team of Caer Sidi came into possession of certain screenshots which showed a gross inadequacy in the handling of their out of character administration policies.

Caer Sidi takes pride in our administrative policies, and we put the safety of our members first and foremost. Considering this, it is impossible going forward to continue relations or contact between Caer Sidi and The Enadian Union.

As of the posting of this declaration, the Treaty of Friendship between Caer Sidi and Enadia shall be rescinded, embassies between Caer Sidi and Enadia shall be cancelled, and Caer Sidi’s involvement in the Arcade Project shall cease.

Caer Sidi does not wish any ill will towards Enadia. In fact we wish them all the best in their future endeavors and we implore them to continue to improve their administrative policies and standards going forward.

As someone who was once (for a very short time) on the Arcade server, I must say that this "inadequacy" is worrying. Whilst I do not wish to make any misinterpretation of this rather good-spirited statement (despite the obviously negative connotations surrounding such a decision), I think this says a lot regarding the current administration of Enadia. I'm not too familiar with Enadia itself, but this is worrying and - considering what I have heard - nigh-confirms many of my suspicions regarding Enadia's administration and power dynamic.

Good move.
