Gottika has extra-judicially ejected Enadion citizens from the regional Discord server. This suppression of freedoms and rights cannot be tolerated, from our inter-regional allies.

Please allow me to clarify the situation with the internal affairs of the Enadian union.

The Enadian union faced an internal attack by the nation of Gothikka several days ago, when that nation was serving as our vice president. He caused extensive damage to our discord server as well as our gameside regional page.
The founder, as well as several citizens of Enadia took quick action in order to stabilise the situation, and Gothikka was quickly removed from the region. Those citizens who were removed from the regional discord were quickly reinstated, and the channels that were removed from the server were put back in their proper place. The Enadian Union would like to thank the government of the Kingdom of Great Britain for its concern for the rights of Enadian citizens, however we wish to assure them that the illegal actions perpetrated by Gothikka were not authorised by the Enadian government, and the situation has been normalised. We hope to continue our good relations in the future.

I'd like to make this as clear as possible. Vice President Gothikka attacked Enadia. They attacked our discord and our region. Swift measures were taken to reinstate everyone that VP Gothikka had banned from the discord. The People of Enadia were provided use of the clone server until the main server could be fully fixed. I personally worked on fixing the security measures - even after my recent surgery, I continue to work on the security for the Enadian People - and yes I call them people because they are more than just citizens to us.

I'd like to point out how rude this is as well.Therefore, The Kingdom of Great Britain will suspend diplomatic ties with the Enadion Union - Suspending diplomatic ties after our vice president has attacked our region and acting as if the Enadian Government was okay with it is crapola and makes no sense to act in such a way. ( it's like two friends and one friend gets beaten by his brother and then the other friend (you) are like I'm not your friend anymore until you apologize to your family) - really??

I ask that before anything is officially "declared" - that you would talk to us first so no information is misconstrued or accidentally claimed. Thank you for your concern, it does mean a lot, but the way you mention the information (although may not mean to) pins it as if Enadia suppresses its people. When in actuality a filthy vice president attacked them and the rest of us cleaned up his mess.

April 25–26 — An election began on the 25th to elect seven new members of parliament. Ten candidates total had run for the positions: Asce de Vitre, USP; Harold Coxon, BRP; Vac Mercer, BRP; Jay Dee Bonaparte, BRP; Wilhelm von Churchill, BRP; JJ Douglas, BRP; Peter John de Vitre, USP; Pitt the Younger, IND; Albert Phillip Stuart, BRP; and Marius Titus von Churchill, BRP. After a day of voting, the winning candidates were: Marius Titus von Churchill for Cardiff Central (Wales); Jay Dee Bonaparte for Victoria (Canada); Vac Mercer for Banks (Australia); Wilhelm Von Churchill for Kerry (Ireland); JJ Douglas for Argyll and Bute (Scotland); Harold Coxon for Saffron Waldon (England); and Albert Phillip Stuart for Paris (France). Appointed on the 26th, the British Royalist Party had a 100% occupation in the House of Commons.

Election of Mock Chair

April 25–26 — in addition to the Parliament election, the election for the Mock Parliament Chairperson was held, also starting on the 25th. A by-election for the chair was held earlier this month after the previous Mock Chair, Peter John de Vitre, had resigned, resulting in Juris Lancaster taking the position. (Read more about Juris Lancaster and JayDee Bonaparte's winning the by-elections here) The only candidate, however, was Juris Lancaster, with 25 votes for and 3 votes abstaining, resulting in his, unsurprisingly, retaining the Mock Chairperson position.

Vac Mercer Resigns, Declares Party is Corrupt

April 26 — No sooner had Vac Mercer been elected than he had resigned from his position as MP for Australia. Striking controversy into the British Royalist Party, Vac Mercer left with the following address: [quote=Vac Mercer's resignation]Mr. Speaker,

Seeing as how my party saw fit to essentially lead a coup against me and utterly betray me, thus taking the Speakership from me, I can no longer fulfill the mandate upon which I was elected. By-Election to Replace Vac Mercer

April 27–28 — After Vac Mercer's resignation, a by-election was held to take his place, starting on the 27th. The two rival candidates were Rachael Arche-Veringuard with the BRP, returning after having left for a month, and Claire Arche-Veringuard, running independent. On the 28th, Rachael Arche-Veringuard was elected for Gold Coast (Australia), defeating her opponent 13:7, retaining the 100% BRP seat occupation.

Interview with former By-Election Candidates

April 29 — After the by-elections, the BBC had questioned Rachael and Claire Arche-Veringuard on their thoughts about the election. Rachael had only this to say about the government:

I'm personally concerned by the large amount of people in Parliament. I'm worried things will be progressing before everyone has a chance to comment or participate in the Parliament, but so far I haven't seen that thankfully. I think this is gonna be a good Parliament session, though.

Claire Arche-Veringuard, however, had a few more things to say about the election.

Well, the general election’s outcome was already expected with another BRP victory as most of the other parties or independent candidates didn’t have a unified front or electoral machinery ready for the polling day.

Plus their performance was aided by Louis Mountbatten’s successful BRP administration further cementing their role as proven capable administrators and regional leaders. If the other parties had consolidated as one unified front, I’m pretty sure they would have at least gotten one seat the House of Commons.

I threw my candidacy in the Australia By-Election because it was kinda absurd to allow another BRP absolute majority just occur without an attempt to contest it by other parties. Beats the purpose of democracy if no one is gonna oppose and just agree for the sake of getting it over and done with.

I just hope that next time that the opposition parties can actually put up a fight as it’ll get boring to see just the same party or leader repeatedly occur.

She also had this to say about Vac Mercer's resignation:

The aftermath of the election events leading to the mini coup in the Commons Speakership was a bit shocking as I had expected Vac to continue being Speaker but it seems JJ had already lobbied in private to get votes and successfully prevented Vac from getting a second Speaker Term.

For the past few days, the Kingdom of Great Britain has been in talks with other similarly themed regions. The purpose of these talks was in the common interest of hosting the first ever Conference of Britons. The Conference of Britons is meant to be a meeting between British-themed regions in the spirit of cooperation and opening a healthy dialogue between our regions. With similar backgrounds, our regions are too often grouped together as one single entity, the British regions. This conference will seek to celebrate the differences in culture and background that makes each region so diverse.

The sole purpose is not just to celebrate our differences, however, we must also learn to embrace what makes us so similar. More than just the British culture which binds us together, but our similarities in ideologies and philosophies of gameplay. The end goal of this conference is not to establish any sort of agreement between our regions, but rather to encourage more communication between our regions to encourage a stronger community. We hope this Conference of Britons will lead to a future of cultural and personal growth between regions and serves to bring us closer as individuals.

Attendance to the Conference of Britons is open to all British-themed regions regardless of size, age, government, or any other factors. We wish to open a healthy dialogue with all British regions and encourage all to attend the Conference. Citizens of other regions are also encouraged to attend and contribute to the discussion. All interested parties are invited to attend this May 20-22 for the Conference.

Ties with Enadian Union Shut Down

April 27 – May 1 — Disaster struck the Enadian Union once again on April 27 when former Vice President Gottika was removed from office and declared persona non grata after overstepping their executive powers within the region. Though ties were temporarily held between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Enadian Union, they were amended on April 30 when a formal apology was sent out to their allies. However, within 24 hours, a coup d'état took place in the Enadian Union, silencing all who oppose the new regime. Not tolerating this, the Kingdom of Great Britain has permanently severed ties entirely with the Enadian Union.

Festival of Endor

May 3 — On the brighter side of this week, the Festival of Endor has begun, celebrating the birthday of Star Wars. Both the Galactic Order and the Kingdom of Great Britain are participating in this event, which started on May 3, with many events being hosted by our Minister of Culture, Mama Bread, who had this to say about the event:

The culture department tried some new things with the festival this time. The big thing being the ongoing story contest, that there's still time to submit your story for!
