Please watch your language! Additionally I am not going to discuss or disclose Enadian procedural policy on the NSGP. If you inspect our World Wide Embassy Recruitment Policy, you will see that Discord works just as fine.

I believe that I have already addressed this, twice at least if I recall correctly, but I can give it another shot. First of all, I see NS Communities and regions everywhere, on Facebook, Twitter and sometimes on Instagram as well. Why do we do that? Well perhaps bc we have communities all over those social mediums and we interact across all platforms. We interact also over a couple of online games and we will attempt in the future to add more games in our directory list. We recently though, launched eHubs, EU's First Social Network, it works like Twitter or Facebook but its more grounded and personalized. Here's a link: https://euhubs.enadia.xyz/ossn/

And to add to that, while we understand what other UCR's may want or need. Our wants and needs differ in ways. For as long as we are willing to work with other UCR's around, Enadia has already done its job properly.

Harry your response means absolutely nothing! Let me try again.

No UCR wants any other regions recruitment messages, full stop. GCRs probably don't want it, but we who live in GCRs expect and accept it, as it's what keeps the UCR sphere functioning. If you send recruitment telegrams to residents of UCRs, you will annoy people. Not 'might' annoy people, will annoy people. Annoying people is not a good way of making friends, which is why the EU's minister of foreign affairs is quite possibly the most thankless job in all of ns, second only to whatever other government person who steps into the shoes of the MoFA if it happens that Enadia has a rubbish one (which in fairness, this time it definitely doesn't.) People don't want to form relationships with regions that try and poach their members, and I've witnessed this first hand from trying to negotiate embassies, rp and regional cooperation. I was even turned away by rp regions who wanted nothing to do with Enadia because they try and recruit longstanding members.

Having the biggest region isn't the be all and end all of having a successful region. Having friends acts as a multiplier to what your region, regardless of size, can accomplish. Unless you run a tiny region, which you don't, you should not be concerned if for periods of time you can't recruit. What you need to be doing, rather, is getting some of the over-100 people who have a nation in Enadia to actually do something in the community. Once you do that, and stop recruiting from UCRs (as well as properly formulating some sort of admin policy to deal with complaints), you'll find that people might be more open to working with you in the future.

It’s always worth asking questions, especially when someone keeps shilling links and making every possible effort to drag anyone who wants to talk about their policy out of their GP embassy thread and to those links.

I don’t want to have to sign up for their forums, give them my email, or allow them to delete my posts, in order to ask that question either.

I should probably confirm, as someone who held the office of president, I have absolutely no idea where those emails go.

I presume that Harry is the sole user of the inbox, however it might be any number of people assisting him.
I can confirm however, that it is not whoever happens to be president at the time.

Your registration asks for Real Name

Image

I am not accusing anyone of doxxing, but your forum is a HUGE SECURITY RISK, and looks like someone can easily self doxx themselves (if they register to your forum using their real name, then make posts. Anyone can see their real name.) You realize how unsafe the internet is right?

Also, many NS players are dumb enough to do that, so you probably should not give room for risks like these.

For example, people can see that a certain Nation has registered to your forum, click on your forum and see their Real name, and can find their nonNS social medias.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion or your argument. Privacy and Safety are two things that we are not able to violate in any way, besides no one stopped you creating a fake email.
At this point EU Internal Procedures/Articles/Decisions will not be disclosed in our NSGP thread which we use for general announcements. Similar to the way that I expect you not to disclose internal regional decisions, your governments and institutions take, the EU has a strict Privacy policy. At this point I shall not touch the matter any longer. This is the final post I make for this matter.

Actually, I agree and disagree at the same time. People nowdays share their information regardless of what platform they are on. People share their actual faces on Discord in dozens of regions. While many people can go by your first or last name or both. Not many happen to have the same face as you. Adding to that, the fact that you consider people dumb and yourself smart, it tells me that you have no knowledge of Internet Security whatsoever. In fact you are more threatened to be discovered by your face or by a quick search on Google, rather than your IP or your name.

In the same logical line, NS is a dangerous place, bc the moderators here have access to our IP's, maybe our payment methods etc. Who knows right? It's the internet, a scary place after all.

My personal opinion, as I am dealing with these stuff on a daily basis. Your account, your logins, your payment, your devices and your data are your responsibility. No one has violated anyone's data in Enadia and we encourage people to go by their nations name. eHubs is like Twitter, or Facebook, if you want to choose to post a photo of yours, you may go ahead. If you want to post a meme you're free to go. Nobody is forced in doing anything, I assure you of that.

Discord isn’t public, while your Facebook mirror is. Photos, profiles, etc are publicly visible. While participants may be willing, you’re still creating a vulnerable environment, and as its founder, encouraging it as you push your own RL info (city, places you eat at, pictures) to that public space. You are setting an example and, and you are creating a space that encourages kids to place themselves at risk. That’s bad, and you don’t get to just shove all the responsibility off to “well you posted it voluntarily.”

Also. You just listed more reasons why almost all of your platforms are bad ideas for varying reasons, whether it’s posting your face on this thing or following a regional instagram with your personal account.

Also, the NS mod team is trustworthy, and you’re not.

Very much not trustworthy.

Regardless of other potentially bad things your region may have been involved in, we have no way of verifying what you say or that you are indeed trustworthy. Random regional founder is not as nearly trustworthy as the NS Mods & Admins.

My personal opinion, as I am dealing with stuff on a daily basis.

Everything on the Internet is both accessible and open. Starting from a Facebook account all the way down to a common Discord server. Everything.
I also happen to believe that what I post on my social media all over the internet, is my business just in the same way everything you post on yours is your business and you don't have a say on that. So the whole "you're encouraging this social behavior" is not something you should be worried about. How I live my life is my choice.

Regardless of other potentially bad things your region may have been involved in, we have no way of verifying what you say or that you are indeed trustworthy. Random regional founder is not as nearly trustworthy as the NS Mods & Admins.

Okay so basically what makes NS Mods and Admins trustworthy? I am not saying they are not, but where is your proof on that? Are you working there? Do you know them in person? Do you know what sort of information they have access to? Do you know their standard operational procedures? How do you put your life and your data in the hands of someone you call your regional founder? Or your regional admin?

To me this sounds like a poor excuse. "You are not trustworthy but others are?" Does any one of you know me in person? Has any of you spoken with me before? No, you've selectively attacked me, which is fine by me. Bc NS is a game so I don't stress about it. But as far as I am concerned, after working for years with folks like you. None of you is trustworthy a bit. So prove to me, that you and your services are trustworthy and then, I'll be more than happy to prove how our services work. :)

That’s just...blatantly false? You can’t even see “public” discord channels without registering for the service, while I can see the profiles and posts on your “social network” without doing so. Certainly, good internet habits and discord setups would have any remotely personally identifying information behind the masking system available, which is the exact opposite of public. Everything is *not* public.

You’re running this thing, and aggressively advertising it here, on a site open to young teenagers. I’m not criticizing how you live so much as how you lead.

We have nearly two decades of the mods & admins broadly not abusing their powers, sharing confidential player information, being generally open to explain their policies and thought processes when able. Even when we broadly dislike certain policies (notably the offsite evidence bit), that's a different thing than not trusting them.

You, we have that you founded a region and spent a bunch of money on it, and additionally that there is general dislike by the Gameplay community by how you and your admins have handled certain situations.

Thus, you have not proven you or your region worthy of trust.

Without even an option for 'prefer not to say' at that. Abysmal showing.

Region is even tagged 'LGBT' at that.

I trust NS mods because they don't have a history of gross incompetence, harassment, and poor ass decisions.

Well, for one, NationStates doesn’t ask for my name and gender, or direct me to a dozen different websites. It’s also operated by a team with a well known owner, and also fuck whataboutism.

You are not trustworthy, and others are, precisely.

The endless “people like you” and “I know best” and such aren’t helping that, either. Zuckerberg “they just trust me, dumb fucks” vibes at best.

I guess we can thank you for giving us something we can say in regards to why people should stay away from your region that can be said onsite.
