Dearest Comrades abroad and at home,

Recently tensions have erupted between the Major game created regions (GCRs) and a few user created regions (UCRs) over the conduct, expansionism, and in-game character conflicts centered around the government of The Pacific, the New Pacific Order (NPO). TCB is a serious and militant leftist region, and tends to ignore issues not portioning to our regional security, the leftist struggle, or the Anti-Fascist effort. As such, we have made every attempt to stay as removed as possible from this ongoing war. Due to recent events, our stance as how changed.

It has come to our attention that members in the upper echelons of the NPO have harbored and assisted the subversive efforts of Vetelo/Attero, the authoritarian leader of the United Soviet Socialist Dictatorship and vilified historic fascist sympathizer and collaborator. Due to Executive Order 13 and our expulsion of USSD diplomats and ties last January over these fascist ties, TCB has made every effort to avoid entities with ties to Vetelo. As such, due to the recent revelations regarding the NPOs connection with said individual and our concerns over the NPO’s structure and ruling principals, and the dubious actions taken by the NPO, The Communist Bloc will be closing embassies with the NPO effective immediately. All diplomats will be removed privileges within the region and the Bloc will be ceasing formal communication.

We would like to affirm that we condemn any persons who aid dubious individuals such as Vetelo, and allow them to infiltrate healthy and thriving democracies. The Bloc would like to profess that it will continue its stance of military neutrality for now unless further pertinent evidence arise.

Thank you all.

EQUALITY, FREEDOM, LIBERTAION!
LONG LIVE THE BLOC!

Regards,

Deputy General Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nathaniel Penrose, on behalf of the Executive Adminustration of TCB

Oh, no! They found out about our evil plan of world domination alongside NPO!

Time to pack your things, guys, we're all doomed.

Normally I would be happy but this is just more propaganda against Vetelo. This is designed for the sole reason to undermine him, he only worked with the NPO to fight Nazi's. They have a zero tolerance policy for fascists. If your fascist in there discord you will banned from it. The USSD is not fascist they are anti-fascist. This is why I will never join antifa because they blow this type of stuff way out of proportion.

Statement on Relations With the Democratic Socialist Assembl

Postby Information of the Communist Bloc » Thu Sep 17, 2020 8:27 am

Statement on Relations With the Democratic Socialist Assembly

Comrades, friends, and members of the international community -

This week, the Minister of Foreign Affairs was alerted to a trial of three prominent members of the NSLeft community and subsequent banning of the individuals known as Courelli, Ramelia, and Goncar. This exercise was a facsimile of justice, and a drumhead trial to embolden the sectarian ideology and the animosity towards the NSLeft that has taken root in the DSA. The evidence used, gained through blatant espionage of a foreign power with whom this government considers a friend, was a feeble attempt to fit a specific narrative created by the DSA government surrounding so-called “tankies”, “authoritarians”, and “the NSLeft clique.” This does not adequately relate to nor prove the alleged crimes committed by these individuals.

We voice our shock and dismay at this act of hostile espionage and the propagandist trial that followed. These are actions that this government holds as a drastic and aggressive move on a peaceful and allied power, and a small part of a concerning growing anti-communist, anti-Marxist, and toxic sectarianism developing within their community. These growing sentiments toward aggressive and preemptive isolationism, banning and slandering political opponents based off of DSA-related political positions and real life political ideology, and the expulsion and hostile espionage against former DSA members that have valid criticisms of the DSA government and moderation team cannot be ignored.

We are a region committed to Pan-leftism, peaceful coexistence between allies, and are a proudly diverse community of many voices, ideologies, and comrades from across the leftist spectrum, from Anarchists to Marxists to Democratic Socialists. A region that holds only a narrow set of ideologies and political opinions as “correct” and “compatible with their community” within the great spectrum of the left cannot effectively call itself fully leftist nor a proper ally of The Communist Bloc.

The embassy between the Democratic Socialist Assembly and the Revolutionary Republic of The Communist Bloc will be closed, effective immediately. Ambassadors from the DSA will be permitted within our borders and retain their privileges, and all ambassadors from this government to the DSA will remain unless prompted to leave by the DSA administration. Lastly, all visitors and prospective dual citizens will be welcomed into our region without bias.

By no means do we wish for there to be hostilities or any form of conflict between our regions. However, the growing attacks and isolationism against the NSLeft from the DSA - clearly the intentions of their Cabinet - require us to respond in kind.

It is with a heavy heart that we initiate this closure of embassies with a region that we have grown to consider a friend. However, the growing political intolerance, political purging, espionage, and aggression against our close allies, as well as the overall decline in democracy, impartial discord moderation, and leftist tolerance in the DSA, has brought us to take this drastic action. The blatant ideological bias and toxicity against “authoritarians” in the DSA, which we perceive as a political attack against fellow leftists, in addition to the government and moderation team’s upholding and promotion of this ideology, has deeply saddened our government and led us to believe that our community and it’s pan-leftist values are no longer fit for full relations with the DSA.

Thank you,

Egaleca

It's about time we revive this.

Good morning, I'm Martyn Kiryu (or Radicalania) First Minister of The Communist Bloc. Here's a quick rundown of some recent changes!

TCB briefly lost its status as one of the largest Founderless regions with the unexpected return of its Founder, Kovatsk. The Founder vowed to keep out of regional politics for the time being, stating they wanted to see how the region was going. True to their promise, Kovatsk stayed out of regional politics, before CTEing again recently.

Due to term limits, there were many seats left unfilled in the Legislative Committee of TCB, triggering a by-election where those term limits were voided. Upon the successful election of Kirk Socramander (Sodoran Alesia) as Speaker of the Legislative Committee, the LC began work on reducing the number of seats, and passed a bill reducing the number of seats on the LC. Two LCMs resigned to allow for this change to not trigger another by-election. TCB loves elections, but 3 in 2 weeks was seeming a touch excessive.

Executive elections were held the following month, starting the 15th October. Low amounts of candidates meant there were no unexpected results, and the Executive were in office. As his first acts, First Minister Kiryu released his agenda, and issued 2 Executive Orders, the latter starting the Revolutionary Endorsement Program (REP). Developed by close allies The Leftist Assembly, the REP program will allow nations to check who is and isn't endorsed, whilst also maintaining the Endorsement cap of the region. Shiny new Medals are to be created to celebrate those nations engaging with REP.

TCB also seems to have set its sights on using cards as a rewards program, as the Ministries of Information, Culture and Domestic Affairs have begun working together to farm cards to offer as rewards, building pack reserves for the expected launch of Season 3.

TCBs population has once again fell slightly, resulting in a population of 956 nations, believed to be coinciding with the fall from N-Day. The Minister of Domestic Affairs therefore has started a manual recruitment program, and is rewarding their volunteers for their effort.

The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has been formed within TCB, in order to maintain and utilize its large voting base within the World Assembly. 409 WA nations are currently homed within The Communist Bloc.

And finally long-term Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nathaniel Kuznetsov-Penrose (Ubertas) has received the award Honoured Comrade, the highest the region has to offer, for their excellent service in multiple fields across the region.

It is believed that round #528 of the Pineapple on Pizza poll series is to happen before Christmas. The Bloc, contrary to its traditionally rejecting the abomination that is Pineapple on Pizza, voted in favour last time, and so that cannot be left as the last poll in the series.

Time for TCBs weekly(ish) update!

Kovatsk, TCBs Founder, refounded again, after another small hiatus.

The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recently approved a new system, improving the input its volunteers have to assessing and decision making within the World Assembly. This was followed by a volunteers hard work in making more aesthetically pleasing methods of publishing the results.

The Revolutionary Endorsement Program has been updated to allow for an auto-scroll feature which jumps the page to the Endorse button. This has been praised by users as much more efficient. Average endorsements within the Bloc have started to increase.

Population continues to fall, but more citizens than ever are signing up to volunteer.
A small increase of residents within the Bloc was noted over the Z-Day period, where TCB underperformed compared to previous years. This is likely due to lack of preparation and a few false starts to the event, causing early confusion, and allowing Zombies to gain a foothold. A few personal grudges within the Bloc further allowed the Zombies to gain hold, but was swiftly dealt with.

The Legislative Committee passed 5 new acts to the Peoples Assembly, all of which passed. This included 2 Constitutional Amendments. Further Legislation is being discussed.

A regional art competition, hosted by the Ministry of Culture has entered its judging period. Stay tuned for the results.

The Pineapple on Pizza debate still blazes within TCB, with neither side showing signs of fatigue.

The Communist Bloc- An Evil December strikes hard!

Postby Radicalania » Fri Jan 08, 2021 2:37 am

The Communist Bloc not weekly at all Update
January 2021

Politics within the region looked to be relatively slow coming towards the end of the year as the region looked forward to leaving the trying year behind.

December began with the devastating news of a coup by the founder of close allies Social Liberal Union. The Communist Bloc stands with the Democratically elected government of SLU, and wishes them well in their new region, The Social Liberal Union. Thinking an ally being couped was the mouldy cherry on the pineapple-on-pizza flavoured cake of 2020, TCB settled down and began looking forward to a new year.

However, the trying year had not finished with The Communist Bloc. Starting off with a Forum issue, exasperated due to backup failures. The Administrative Council and Executive scrambled to remedy this, however were ultimately unable to do so, resulting in almost a years worth of data being lost, and hundreds of citizens being removed from the Bloc. The Executive started a Telegram campaign to inform as many ex-citizens that their data had been lost, and that re-application was necessary. This has sprouted renewed calls for a Forum move for TCB. Further accusations of an intentional data loss were levied at the Executive, until it was promptly pointed out that half the Executive Council was also effected. (Rest assured, no accounts data was taken by a third party)

The Ministries of Information and Domestic Affairs had their work cut out for them. Domestic Affairs, headed by Eriadni, set up a weeklong 24 hour Citizenship Team which rapidly approved citizens. The Ministry of Informations task however was much harder; all the laws generated in 2020 had also been lost, meaning much of the Revolutionary Republics post-revolution rules had been lost. The MoI, Pajonia, working in conjunction with the current Speaker of the Legislative Committee- Kirk Socromander or Sodoran Alesia- have begun, and continue to work on hosting this information on NationStates Dispatches, while ex-Speaker of the Legislative Committee and current First Minister Martyn Kiryu- Radicalaniahad hosted all laws on a private Google Docs account. This has assisted the team in this endeavor. We now have a functioning Law Archive once again!

The Minister of World Assembly Affairs faced large scale criticism within the Bloc, accused of inactivity and failure within their duties, resulting in a citizen launching a Vote of No Confidence against them, which was hastily signed by the required number of citizens, surprisingly including several members of the Executive Council. As per law, the MoWAA then had 5 days to defend themselves. Defense was very poor in the Blocs eyes, and further accusations of abuse of power were levied after the MoWAA began suppressing posts of the citizen leading the VoNC. TCB had no choice but to vote the Minister out of office. The ex-minister reacted very poorly to the news, and is currently in the Rejected Realms for a variety of Offenses. We can only apologise to TRR, and wish you luck in dealing with them.

Christmas passed without further incident, when an exciting announcement came from our Minister of Culture, Karl Kuznetsov von Habsburg- The Workers Union of Habsburg-Lorraine that we had been contacted by our friends over at Europeia, and invited to have a week of games and fun. Landing just over the New Year, this seemed like an excellent opportunity to start a New Year on a high note, and so TCB gratefully accepted. And we were so glad we did! Great fun was had all around, and we'd like to congratulate our hosts on a job well done! Special shoutouts to the Lightning Quick Trivia Gods, the newly crowned Masters of Jousting, and the most convincing Hitlers ever seen! We look forward to continuing our fond relationship with Europeia this year.

Executive Elections within TCB will begin in a week, stay tuned for results. To everyone across NationStates, may we wish you a prosperous new year, and we'll see you around!

The Communist Bloc Update: January 2021- Elections and Appointments

Hello everyone and welcome back to the irregularly scheduled TCB GP thread!

Election Season:
The Communist Bloc recently ended its executive elections, which were contested for the first time in quite some time. Though voter turnout remains relatively low, it had improved and this has been seen as a positive step by many leading members of the Bloc- we hope that this is a trend we continues.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has seen a newcomer added to its leadership, with incumbent Nathaniel Kuznetsov-Penrose running on a joint ticke witht, and being joined by, CommunistAnarchicDemocracy (herein CAD), a former leader of the Bloc and Ambassador to several of our regional allies. CAD campaigned on a back to basics platform, focusing on administrative reforms within the MoFA to get it running smoothly, while well respected Nathaniel will likely see to the more diplomatic aspects of the role. They will likely be working with the First Minister, who vowed to make attempts to end TCBs isolationism.

The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs was also contested, but a clear winner was chosen with former RMB Representative Ferryshire/Slyphy. Their previous experience in government will likely serve them well, and already she is polling citizens and residents on upcoming WARs. She is thought to be working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the First Minister.

The Minister of Domestic Affairs, Eriadini, has set to work on improving recruitment, and working closely with the uncontested Minister of Information, Pajonia, on retention projects. Eriadinis experience within recruitment will be a valuable asset during the coming months, as TCB saw a drop of over 100 nations during the Christmas Season. The MoI also quickly got to work, with a decision to begin expanding the Daily News service to include opinion pieces. Incumbent Minister of Culture, Karl Kuznetsov von Habsburg has also made efforts to begin a variety of unfinished projects, including inter-regional events with some of our regional allies. This was met with excitement by the Bloc.

Finally, incumbent First Minister, Martyn Kiryu, beat out challenger Valeryon who were both standing on similar platforms. Valeryon was recently elected head of the Gameplay Committee of NSLeft, but Kiryu's experience within the Bloc won the day. The First Minister has begun consulting with existing regional allies on a variety of issues, and has began work on some of his larger projects. His campaign promise to end TCBs isolationism was well met within the Bloc, and he is hopeful that it will be well received when the Foreign Affairs teams begin contacting regions. Further campaign promises included Military Gameplay consults, and Regional Card Projects which will grow the Blocs Collective International Artwork Stat.

Defense:
TCB's Council of Ministers recently deployed two further Vice Delegates, whose role it is to use their influence to ban and eject any foreign powers who may seek to do the Bloc harm. TCBs Vice Delegates now span most of the time zones of the world, and we believe the 5 person strong Delegacy Team will serve the Bloc well in case of an emergency.

That's all for now, thanks for reading and please don't hesitate to get in touch!

The Communist Bloc Update: May 2021- Elections and Appointments

Hello everyone and welcome back to the irregularly scheduled TCB GP thread!

Election Season:
The Communist Bloc recently ended its executive elections. Though voter turnout remains stable. We hope that voter turnout will increase over time.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has seen a new newcomer added to its leadership, with incumbent CommunistAnarchicDemocracy (hereby CAD) running on a joint ticket with, and being joined by, dimitrija, a new citizen. CAD campaigned on the same platform as last term, while dimitrija will likely see to the more diplomatic aspects of the role. They will likely be working with the First Minister, who was the most proactive head of state since the current constitution.

The incumbent Minister of World Assembly Affairs was re-elected. Former RMB Representative Ferryshire/Slyphy was elected unopposed. Their previous performance in government will likely serve the region well, and already she is polling citizens and residents on upcoming WARs. She is thought to be working very much independently from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to a lesser extent the First Minister.

The Co-Ministers of Domestic Affairs, AnonymousCommunist/Socialist Heronia (Socialist Heronia) & NotJuliaCaesar/NotJuliaCaesar (Renjeva) [Joint ticket candidates], have set to work on making the regionmore welcoming, increasing citizenship, and building a friendlier community. They have already re-worked the acceptance and rejection text for the citizenship application process.

The re-elected Minister of Information, Pajonia continued the expansion of the Daily News service. This service has been honestly delivered daily at high quality. Minister of Information volunteer Theria Han has also significantly contributed to the Daily News.

The Communist Bloc sees a new Minister of Culture, North Wascoitan, has also made efforts to begin a variety of projects, including inter-regional events with some of our regional allies, especially NSLeft regions. One project is the ongoing chess event.

The incumbent First Minister, Martyn Kiryu, beat out challenger dimitrija who also signed up for MoFA. Kiryu and CAD oversaw Europeia a treaty with Europeia. The First Minister also played an instrumental role in organizing interregional cultural events. The First Minister also founded the TCB Cards Factory, the official puppet storage region of TCB dedicated to creating cards.
Over the last term, the endorsement rate of the World Assembly Delegate increase. Maximum allowed endorsement increased. The Council of Minister gained a public-viewable channel.

That is all for now, thank you for reading, and please do not hesitate to get in touch!

Yes, we badgered her about it in The League's voice channel a couple nights ago, and she fixed it :)
