An NSGP project, anybody willing to give me a hand?

Postby Wesstmoorland » Thu Jan 25, 2018 6:31 pm

So, you all know me as Henry/John from KoGB, but, in real life, I'm a historian. I have an M.A. from a small university in East Texas, and while I'm currently unemployed I'm going to keep myself busy by working on a series of NS history projects. The first one is entitled: Digital World: A Brief History of Military Alignment on NationStates. The end-length will be between 20 and 25 pages and will study, as the title suggests, the history of the development of the major NationStates military alignments(Raiderism and Defenderism), in the early stages of the game. Anyone who would like to help out by allowing me to interview you would be helpful.

Thanks,
John

Heh.

I think it sounds like a great idea. A study of the genesis of "R/D." The Farkers, Atlantic Alliance, Freedom Alliance, the Pacific Army, RRA, and the GLA. The Heartland invasion. Iraq. 10KI.

It seems like it was an exciting time in the game. The 'alignments' are always developing though. What passed for a defender then would pass for a "zealot" now. What passed for an invader then would get you DOS'd now. :P

This reminds me of the textbook I was writing. I ought to get to work on that again. If you want any help on theoretical bullshit, it's my specialty and I'd be glad to lend a hand.
