Who are we?
We are The Midnight Order, an ancient knightly order dating from years long of which have passed.
A long line of Elders, strong and mighty, led the order through the centuries into bloody battle, whereupon the Order had a fearsome reputation among the lowlanders.
However, within the conquered lands came brutal realities: the infamous Mountainfolk, of whom had slain an Elder and his Honour Guard centuries ago; the Northerners, who upon discovering the rich land, had also set their sights on conquest; and the Dark Beings, who sometimes could be great allies, but at other times, a huge detriment to the kingdoms stability itself, which made alliances a dangerous gamble.

Throughout all these toils, the order stood tall with its might, and has long stood the test of time, and will continue to do so for millenia.

The Midnight Order is an independent org founded on the 5th of September 2017 by Indo and Pyro. If your really wanting to look at the OOC desc instead of the cool IC one, you is of boring

From what I recall, DUTY rebranded and basically got all their active people together in one place.

Yeah, Hypetrain is basically on the dot. Lucky us though, we got aides and our lives took a turn for the better!

What happened to DUTY?

DUTY was too generic. Eventually, we tried to rebrand it to a fallout-like theme, but we were simply trying to kick a dead horse.

We are trying to do this in an attempt to create a distinct org with its own identity.

Dawn of the Night

The Elder laid down his sword after overlooking of the destruction caused by the Dark Beings. "Commander, we are to take the islands and the creek to serve as a vantage point in this brewing war of ours"
The Commander nodded in agreement as he went to round up the orderly Midknights ready for battle. On the first day, a ship ready to begin an amphibious landing at the United Islands landed only to find no presence of the Dark Being scum, simply finding a charred battleground.
It was only at the Creek were the scum encountered. After an arrow presumably from a crossbow skimmed an Auxiliary Midknight, the archers rained arrows on the Creek, followed by the Midknight footsoldiers storming the chokepoint. In what was a bloody battle of metal bashing and humans howling, the Order had won the battle. The outcome of the war though, was yet to be determined.

This looks very promising. Nice theme. DUTY was indeed to generic and a bit boring too. Plus, you'd get more attention and reactions if a Knight-style group liberated a region rather than a generic brand of NATO.

From Dusk till Dawn

It had had been mere days since The Battle of the Confederation, which seen The Order fight remnants of a unit of Dark Beings.
The Elder had made clear that he wished for his troops to storm the Warzone to gain a foothold in the frontlines.

After marching for days, the large patrol came to a halt at the embankment. Looking over, they saw their enemy, brandishing their weapons. Upon the Elder's signal, the standard bearer waved the Midnight Standards, and the troops ran over, as did the enemy. Lives were lost, hearts broken, and spirits crushed.
After a narrow victory, the Midnight Elder saw that the enemy's uniforms and standard's were not that of the loathsome Dark Beings, but that of a biscuit loving republic founded on the ashes of the many fallen governments preceding it.

With this pyrrhic victory and what seemed to be needless slaughter of a friendly republic, the Elder's authority was called into question by the Midknights of the Order. A rocky start to a war like this could cripple the Order if not handled correctly.

The Warzone Asia castle keep
The Felling of the Noble

Since the ill-fated pyrrhic victory at the Warzone Africa Massacre, the Elder began to be challenged by local nobles and warlords, threatening the existence of the Midnight Order and further still hampering the war with The Dark Beings.

The Elder though still had tricks up his sleeve. A noble from Warzone Asia had recently attempted to start a rebellion against the Midnights. In order to quell this dispute and to knock the other nobleman into submission, the Elder and the Commander agreed to rapidly storm the castle.
Outside the gates, the Standard Bearer of the Elders personal contingent charged forward, covered by a flurry of arrows by the Commanders contingent. Following up were the masses of Auxiliary units who were to be the deciding force in this siege.

With the Elders unit tearing down the gates, the Auxiliarys stormed in, slaughtering all who dared to look at them. When the Elder himself came to inspect his victory, even he was surprised by the violence and brutality shown by his own troops.
Still, with the victory won, the Kingdoms Rebellion was greatly set back after the Elder had himself personally beheaded the treasonous nobleman.
