School classes sometimes set up a special region for their class, this should explain everything:

Nationstates actually is used in several schools, and the techies developed some special tools to assist educators who want to use the site in their classrooms. There's more info here. Basically, school nations are locked into their class region, and they cannot TG or be TGed from nations outside of the class, along with a couple of other tools to make it easy to get students' nations set up for the class region.

And since I suspect the next question is likely to be "For serious? How many schools actually use Nationstates?! ", according to the modlog, over 90 class regions have been registered in the past year. Which doesn't include any teachers who have previously registered class regions that they have simply reused over multiple school terms. :P

Class nations and regions amaze me.. they are like mini hermit regions who have no idea what the outside world of NS is like..

Eh, the kids probably create alternate accounts after experiencing the site with their class.

We never used NS for school but this is pretty neat since I knew it was used in some schools but I've never actually seen a school nation before.

My school never used NS neither, but teachers didn't care one bit that me and some classmates regularly visit it on our library computers. They always had this impression it was an educational site for us, even though I'd be role playing furries in P2TM. :P

I'm the current World Delegate and one of the Regional officers In my region~ so with this, is there any way I can use these positions of mine to leave the region?

For now, you can probably create a new nation and use that instead, which would be way faster than the second option. If you’d prefer to use your current nation, perhaps you can submit a Getting Help Request, though somebody would have to back me up on whether that’s the right course of action.

No. You have to be Executive in your region ... and I'm not sure that you'd get that in a Class region even if your teacher's nation died off. Your teacher is still active and is the only Exec in your region. They could conceivably kick you out on request.

Piggybacking off this subject because it *is* related to school class nations. I have a question and I'm genuinely curious.

Obviously all of the School Class nations are WA by default. If a student already played NS and had a WA nation, assuming they weren't using the email their teacher sends the invite to join to, would they be able to have their school class nation as WA alongside their out of class nation?

No, that'd still be WA multi-ing. Class nations can leave WA, so just leave on one or the other.
