1. Don't get Gyazo. Their image quality is now shit and .gifs render as .webms and .mp4s.
2. Get Lightshot.
3. Seriously get Lightshot.

I use Imgur it is simple, and high quality as well uploaded image remain permanent as long as it receives at least one request every 6 months.

Yes, you can still access them on the Photobucket site directly! Long story short, Photobucket fucked over its users by requiring a ridiculous annual payment for 3rd Party Hosting now, and it's just not worth it.

I would strongly recommend beginning to re-host your images on a site such as Imgur or Flickr. As for your missing images, that in itself is pretty easy to access. Just right click on those P500 pictures which have replaced your images, and click "Open Image in New Tab". This will take you directly to the Photobucket Page with the original image, and I can confirm it definitely works for yours, having scanned through some of your dispatches. From there, if you're the artist, I would advise re-hosting those on one of the aforementioned sites. Same thing if you're not the artist, but do try to get their permission before re-hosting their work.

Please don't use Tinypic. They reuse images used after a certain amount of time of inactivity - your harmless photo of a boat or a tank could turn into a goatse or some full-frontal nudity which you are - according to site rules - responsible for posting.

just take pics of them with lightshot (prnt.sc) then reupload them

Tinypic does NOT host your image permanently. After a certain length of time, your image is dropped, and they recycle the URL. So the image you post via Tinypic today is fine for now... and weeks later all the sudden your image turns into some asshat's porn upload (which has happened to NSers in the past!), or at the very least to some other image that isn't yours and likely has nothing to do with your factbook's contents.

Tim is spot-on. The images are still there on PB. There may be an additional step, though...
If you still see a ransom demand on the PhotoBucket page, then just refresh the page and your image should re-appear.

Good to know it's not just me, I haven't been able to get on the site to export my photos. Most of the time i just get a broken html site.

That was all I was getting for a while until I got lucky. Response to this policy change has been poor and there are thousands of users trying to get their stuff right now. We may even see a reversal but the damage has been done.

If you can no longer access your Photobucket account due to a forgotten password/outdated email address, you may be able to recover old images by using the Wayback Machine.
