Congrats to all the award winners and the nominees! And thank you W&S for doing the work to resurrect the Defender Awards.

I'm so glad that we were able to hold these awards again and give recognition to many deserving people for all the hard work they've done. Over the last year there have been highs and lows, but all in all I'm glad with the state of defending. In my view it's the strongest and most fun it's been since I started in 2014. So really I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of that over the last year, the leaders and the new blood and the many leaders who are new blood. It's been a pleasure getting to know you and working with you and I look forward to the year to come.
