Um.... your region does not appear to have an active founder for anyone to be going against the will of in the first place. The best defense against the type of raiding that Lily and friends do is to have an active founder nation so that your WA delegate can be set to non-executive. That way raiders can't actually do anything should they successfully seize your region's delegate seat. If you have no way to get in touch with your founder offsite and get them to revive their nation to clean things up, you and your friends may want to consider founding a new region for yourselves so you can take advantage of the protections an active founder provides. Alternatively, you can do the same thing the raiders did- get a couple of friends to join the WA, move to the region, and endorse you or one of the other natives so that you guys can take back your delegacy and clean up the tag raid yourselves.

Demanding that the raiders clean up their own graffiti tends to be... less than effective.

I actually don't tend to have a problem with it if I'm not doing anything else, the request is polite, and the person asking doesn't have "Nazi" in their nation name. As a rule, I don't assist in the liberation of Nazi-affiliated regions though - for rather obvious reasons. Lily itself is apolitical, but I don't think there's much of a willingness to detag several hundred regions that are proudly flying our lovely WFE and flag on request. My advice is for the natives to detag it themselves or to request assistance from TGWs. I'll even give them advice on how to do it if they opt with the former.

Also, I think Rach is preparing to retag the region anyway.

Oh no, I just meant that requests to stop raiding are not infrequently met with more raiding because now they're more than some name on a list

Recent Lily News

Everyone's favorite noncommittal hell-raisers and beauticians over at Lily have been busy as bees over the course of last week, wreaking havoc as they're wont to do and finally instigating some important internal reforms for the greater good. Yes, that's a quote from Hot Fuzz, and, yes, the connotations are mostly the same here as in the film. Go watch it, nerds. It's a treat - much like our weekly tag raids. Without further ado, here is the post y'all have probably not been waiting up each night since Friday to see. Because y'all probably have lives and do real people things like roast weenies around a fire and play the ukulele and troll twelve year old boys over Fortnite or whatever. It has a French Revolutionary theme because our changes are totally revolutionary and stuff.

Report - Minor and Major Update: 24th of February, 2019

On Saturday, the warriors of Lily put on a robust show, launching a tour-de-force of over eighty two separate regions, storming the ramparts and taking regions like Alsace Lorraine with the zeal one would expect. Sweeze, Rogue Wolves, and 1-Parzi rallied to arms with the morning bouquet and weeded the overgrown flowerbeds of close to forty regions. Later that night, a more complete force, consisting of a regular and training bouquet, spread joy to another forty or more regions. These included recruits from The Yeet Army, who, as subsequent reports will illuminate, agreed to be officially nommed by Lily's interregional military alliance. Napoleon would have probably been unimpressed and called us dorks, but we're going to pretend like we accomplished something.

Pro-Democracy Coup Topples the Autocratic Regime of Liliarchy

After rather few grievances had accumulated, around half of them made by Liliarchy himself, and the regime had oppressed the not-so-good masses for too long by suppressing their Discord spam-posting and not having an accountable democratic government, the people of Lily threw themselves into the fervor of revolution, liberating the Bastille, promising a democratic and constitutional government, and, more importantly, not burden two or three people too much, and promptly writing a good many drafts over the span of three months. The shouts of "Finish the Constitution, Fahran!" were ubiquitous and swelled the din of the assembled crowds. So she delivered and wrote a fancy draft in big girl English. The Jacobins most responsible for this revolution were Liliarchy, Fahran, and others who you've come to love in our numerous joint adventures. A formal constitution will be added to our WFE and posted here soon. Then onto elections. Viva la revolution!

Lily noms The Yeet Army

Lastly, Lily's interregional military alliance has acquired its second member-region after months of half-hearted, jape-filled diplomatic talks and joint operations. This is an accomplishment on par with the annexation of Alsace Lorraine (yeah, ya girl is really struggling to apply IRL historical events to the context of our shenanigans) by France, then Germany, then France, then Germany, then France? It's still French, right? Several people have been instrumental to effecting these changes and greater unity between the regions including Ballpit and Sweeze. May the flags of Lily and The Yeet Army wave forever more. May many more regions be nommed. And may Lily spread across NationStates like Napoleonic France across Europe or flowers across a meadow. Yeah, I'm going back to the flower theme. I hope y'all enjoyed my low effort report. Cheers!

Lily Goes A-Roving

The smell of clovers, lilies, and drying vomit permeated the air like a thick, sickly sweet perfume. William (Liliarchy) gazed ruefully over his shoulder as he teetered back and forth, trying to steady himself with the butt of his rifle. It was St. Patrick's Day again. His favorite time of the year, excepting Christmas, which was, of course, in January. Perhaps he had over-indulged a bit, but, if anyone challenged him, a simple "no u" would suffice to see them on their way. It's not like he was Fahr in any case. Sweeze was singing nonsensical, rambling songs that gave him a migraine, but she was at least ready to raid. She and Wolfie (Rogue Wolves) had shown up halfway through his vigil, wearing thick, cozy-looking wolf-skins and had only laughed hysterically when asked about their origins. After a bit of prodding, Sweeze had sheepishly, ironically enough, conceded that "they had been on a wolf hunt."

Fahr and Sakie (Feu de Glace), the latter of whom had made herself indispensable by managing civilian affairs and raiding like an absolute madwoman, were busy sipping wine and celebrating Purim. William heaved a sigh. Of course all the wino holidays fell on the same week. "As if Fahr needed an excuse," he tutted under his breath. He felt a sharp pain in his arm and looked over to notice Sweeze pinching him. "What are you doing?" William demanded grumpily. "You're not wearing green, Lili!" Sweeze prattled happily. "Neither are you," the beleaguered leader of Lily accused. "Yeet, but I raid and stuff," Sweeze replied in a cavalier tone. "I raid... sometimes..." William stammered, clearly offended.

"Happy Purim!" two angelic, slurring voices called. "What?" William huffed. "Blessed be Haman! And cursed be Mordechai!" Fahr hollered. "No! No!" Sakie objected, "It's 'blessed be Mordechai and cursed be Haman!'" They looked at each other puzzled for a moment. "What's the difference?" Fahr asked. Both of them instantly fell into light, easy cackling. "St. Patrick was too wholesome for this," William objected as his vision blurred and he failed multiple sobriety tests that Sweeze administered in a less than professional manner. "Let's go raid!" Sweeze exclaimed after a bit. And, after singing Billy Joel's "Piano Man" and "The Parting Glass", they went a-roving through NS, howling mad and harrowing mad.

They accomplished much. They hit over 210 regions in a series of three major updates, celebrated Purim in a wholesome Jewish region, finally fulfilled Fahr's long-held desire of raiding a region named Christmas, and even raided some Scots to replenish William's supply of high-quality Scotch. Lily was back to making an impact, and during one of the more riotous and blessed times of the year. Happy holidays, everyone!

Lily Ratifies a Constitution and Holds Elections

After months of preparation and drafts, Lily's newly established Assembly of the Rízes ratified the Constitution with the assent of the Louloúdia and the Symfonía. This has established the principle basis for regional law and created a government structure flexible and defined enough to confront the challenges posed by Lily's more active and open-minded approach to NS. Adhering to the new constitution, week-long elections were held by order of the Louloúdia that brought a new government to power with Feu de Glace at its head. Officials are as follow:

Sweeze Promoted to the Symfonía for Distinguished Service

In the dark woods adjoining the meadows, a quiet procession of cloaked figures marched stoically into a groove of oak trees. Whispers of bygone ages, times when the world was yet young and the dawns it numbered were few in their rosy splendor, echo through the branches in the austere twilight. Mists curl about the branches of sentinel pines and sycamores like burial shrouds. The hooded figures wear masks or ornate helms depicting nymphs and satyrs and beasts and flowers and saints and figures of lore. They fan out in a circle, each member drawing a sword and letting it fall with a thud into the damp soil of the forest. Three figures, sporting black and silver cloaks, form in front of the only unmasked initiate.

The girl strolls forward haltingly, her lip quivering from shock, dismay, or uncertainty. "Kneel, worthy one!" the central figure intones authoritatively, his voice deep and thunderous. She complies quickly, scrambling down to her knees. "Sweeze, you have walked in the shadow of the Nine Worthies, you have raided, you have defended, you have served, you have led, you have spoken with the voices of men and angels alike, and we commend you into the service of Lily's highest echelons," he declared, swinging a dulled broadsword down hard enough to bruise her shoulder. Sweeze winced and let out a small grunt. "Arise now a knight of the Symfonía that you may go forth and beautify the world with wreathes and laurels and garlands of flowers wild and wilting."

Then she arose and walked back through the eves in the predawn light.

Sweeze, one of NS's more promising young raiders, has been promoted to the Symfonía (High Council) in recognition of her outstanding leadership and mentoring capabilities. She has facilitated several dozens raids for a litany of organizations, including Lily, Hartfelden, The MT Army, and The Yeet Army. We have the highest confidence that she will continue to bloom as one of NS's foremost raiders and a leader in the Gameplay community.

The Yeet Army Completes its Mission and Disbands

After months of laboring to transform every region containing the word "yeet" into a trophy or subsidiary, The Yeet Army, one of the largest young raider networks and a member-region of Lily's interregional alliance, has announced the conclusion of its intended mission and its official disbandment. The announcement came as a surprise to many when the region's leader Ballpit, who remains as citizen and government officer of Lily, posted it to the region's Discord server and initiated a mass closure of embassies to signify the end of an era. In a gracious and cordial gesture, the embassy with Lily was maintained as proof of the friendship and camaraderie that existed between the two raider organizations. The Yeet Army will be celebrated and missed.
