Just a quick update for you all. It has been a rough couple months for the AA:
-We lost two CSC members, the Media Officer and the Oversight Officer, due to problems that took place outside the organization. Though the surrounding confusion has died down, there was a lot of misinformation circulating with regard to what happened, so anyone seeking clarification may send me a message privately.
-I lost internet at home, and it is not back yet. As you can imagine, this makes it a little tougher to get things done around here.
-Thanks to my dead connection, the bot I host went down, causing all sorts of issues. To any other servers using said bot, my apologies.
-Our numbers took a bit of a dip. Part of this is due to summer. Me being unable to recruit does not help, and the two people we lost were major recruiters as well.
-Following an investigation conducted by several of us in the AA, along with two colleagues from another region, the players The United Dark Republic (also known as Vears and Michael) and Struberria (also known as Noah) have been banned from this organization for OOC offenses that cannot be detailed onsite. Our Individual Bans list has been updated accordingly. For more information, please contact one of our administrators.
To make matters worse, one of the people we lost was Gibraltarica, who was an integral part of the community and is missed by all. A good Media Officer is hard to find, and we were unable to replace him in time for the July Update, so now that I am back from a one-month leave, you are getting this abbreviated version instead. Anyway, enough with the bad news, and onto the good:
-I took advantage of the bot's downtime to make some changes, and by that I mean rewriting the entire thing. This is something that everyone will probably overlook for now, but it is actually a huge deal with implications extending far beyond the AA. More to come.
-N-Day is (presumably) in less than a week, and we are all getting pretty hyped. I cannot provide any details on our strategy here, but to anyone who wants a guaranteed win, you are more than welcome to sign up with us in advance.
-With the exception of Conch Kingdom's barely-used forum, we escaped the effects of the dreaded Tapatalk merger. All our activity is currently Discord- and RMB-based. (Speaking of which, coming up on 400 NS-verified Discord users, a new record. Woo!)
That about covers it for now. I am sorry for the hastiness of this post, but my hands are rather full and I did not want this thread to go too long without news. Formal updates will be coming in the near future.
