Both those reports were vivid narratives. Excellent writing. Do you plan to continue the saga?

We did it. At times, it was doubtful that we would last the night, but we did it. Darkspawn repelled, many villages protected, and a successful push to defend the Neutral Zone of Ostagar overseen. While at times we lost ground, we rallied and ensured that there would still be many a native Fereldan standing at the end of the night. The Mage from the Circle, Sir Merlin, he is truly a masterful healer. While my limbs are still sore from my wounds, I was able to lift and swing the sword without issue. I know not where I would have been without his know-how ensuring that I was more than just dead weight in the push against the Darkspawn foe.
They came upon us fast, four groups at once. One snuck through, but did minimal damage, while another was effectively dispatched. We battled through the whole night against our savage foe, with new Darkspawn rising to replace each that our weapons cut down. As the sun was obscured, so the dark foe was emboldened. They pushed forward, forcing us to give ground with each wave. While the piles of Darkspawn were so high they began tipping off the bridge, the enemy seemed endless. We fell back to the valley, bloodied but not defeated. Here we rode for the towns, defending those who we could, and warning the rest about the impending tide. It was such actions that brought us to a rocky outcrop, so as to gain a better vantage point. Here we stood fast, even as the sun gave way to moon and the enemy's strength grew.
Shizensky, Ainarom, and Catalyse were not with us anymore; dispatched to protect villages further north. Just three Wardens standing after the phase of the day, with myself nowhere at full fighting strength. It was around an old birch tree that we thought we might meet our end, each of us standing with our backs to its twisting branches as we beat back our enemy. Perhaps it was fortune which favored us on that day, or the Maker himself, but that tree was not our end. Cutting swathes through the savage host, well-timed reinforcements battled to join us in our darkest hour. With the sun setting on the horizon, having been spent through its blockade by the moon, we could barely see them approach. Yet through the shine of their armor, their fierce battle cries, and the flashes of their weapons, it was clear who had arrived.
Commander Altmoras, his twin blades a blur as they downed Hurlocks left and right, was first in the fray. Chamberlain Vincent Drake followed soon behind, having to use a makeshift battleaxe that barely slowed him down. Lieutenant Pyrosky, swinging his broadsword through Shrieks as if they were fresh-churned butter, brought up the rear. Answering the call after a long absense, Warden Ikania rained fire arrows down upon the Genlock archers, positioned securely in a rock formation. Alongside the Wardens rode foes of the Blight, staunch allies of the Wardens in this hour of need. Two Southerners rode to the support. One wore Violet hued armor, strong as the toughest steel, as Darkspawn fell under their sword. The other, plowing through the fray with a great Silverite mace, had a breast plate emblazoned with Nineteen stars, Lighting up the space around him. This was not all though, as Archuria, a Mage from The Order of The Phoenix, rained fire and ash upon the now-faltering Darkspawn host. While without these reinforcements, it is likely that we all would have fallen, their presence emboldened us to success and defensive prowess.
Succeed we did, with the foe pushed back step by step. With great effort, we fought our corrupted enemies all the way to Ostagar and across its great bridge. One wouldn't be blamed for assuming we had donned Red Steel, so brightly was our armor stained by Darkspawn blood. As the last Hurlock Alpha fell, his remaining minions scattered and fled. It was over, another incursion had been stopped. It would not be the last, and we would be battling a long time yet, but The Day of Sun's Obscurance had passed.Regions Defended

Commander's Log 3 - Success in the Field
Addressed to: Weisshaupt Fortress, The Anderfels.
Sent from: Montsimmard Fortress, Orlais.
The day's expedition was a resounding success, the Wardens had deployed on expedition to a quaint river valley on the edge of The Dales at the behest of a local noble. Our mission was to ensure that the caves dotting the valley walls were free of any Darkspawn before her ladyship sent her tenant farmers to cultivate the land. There were indeed Darkspawn in the caves, however I am pleased to report that every single tainted creature we encountered has been slain and its body burnt.
The Wardens were itching for a taste of battle following a long and uneventful ride home to Montsimmard through the drab Ferelden countryside, and luckily for us the Darkspawn were more than happy to oblige. Long before our connection to the taint allowed us to sense the presence of Darkspawn in the valley, Commander Benevolent Thomas detected the sound of slavering war cries and the stench of corruption in the air. We followed the smell first, happening upon a pair of stumbling Genlocks, they routed at the sight of us, but both were dispatched with a single swing of Chamberlain Vincent Drake's battleaxe.
After first blood was drawn the pace of the expedition increased rapidly, we rode south at speed along the eastern valley wall to the next cave in which the Taint could be sensed. The second cave we came upon contained a far more respectable raiding party than the first, a smattering of Hurlocks, Genlocks, and even an Ogre. Respectable as they may have been, the pack of Darkspawn was no match for the skill and steel of the Grey Wardens, flesh, armor, blade, bone, all were butter before our weapons and magic. Melody crushed a pair of Hurlocks with mace and shield, Ser Merlin roasted a trio Genlocks with a magical firestorm, Vincent Drake took on a dozen assorted Darkspawn himself, and I brought down the Ogre with my enchanted swords.
Seventeen was the number of skirmishes we had with Darkspawn throughout the valley, every single one similar to the encounter I described earlier. Groups of Darkspawn that would pose significant threat to lightly armed villages and holds being slaughtered by well equipped and well trained Grey Wardens. Darkspawn that stood and fought were invariably slain, and the few that fled suffered the same fate, either by the skilled archery of an Orlesian bard by the name of Escade who joined our expedition, or by the chevalier's lance that Constable Nakari won off of an actual chevalier in a game of cards. First Warden Roavin even happened by to throw a javelin into the final fleeing Darkspawn before I was able to confidently declare the valley to be free of their Taint.
