Once again, The Grey Wardens and our allies dominated the taggers that chose to dare appear, as well as sneaking in some detags at the end. The Blight will be ended, and darkspawn turnouts dropping shows proof of that.

The Rise of the First Melon - New World Assembly Delegate

With the tireless work of several members of the Order and some especially hard lifting by Commander Luca, TGW has been fortunate enough to hit an all time high of 100 endorsements in the last couple of months and a historical peak in regional population. These milestones are a proud product of visions outlined several months ago to see TGW develop more internally while maintaining its renowned military ability—a balance I think we’ve more than maintained.

Delegate Thousand Branches aka Ara has played a critical role in ensuring this growth after picking up the work of their predecessor, Sarah, in engaging with gameside populations and carrying out the region’s World Assembly affairs. Ara not only offered an experienced insight into WA matters from their own authorship but also kept up the tradition of helping during significant defending operations and offering guidance to the new recruits. After nearly 6 months of hard work, Ara will be stepping down as Delegate for some well deserved rest and time to enjoy other areas of NS. I can’t thank Ara enough for their service as our Delegate and the time they have given to help the region grow into a newfound WA presence.

I’m thrilled to announce that stepping into the vacant role of Delegate will be the First Melon of TGW, Saint Tomas and the Northern Ice Islands, aka Whatermelons!

All World Assembly nations in The Order of the Grey Wardens should endorse Saint Tomas and the Northern Ice Islands immediately if not already doing so.

Melons has been a member of the Order since February with an already prolific, commended career of World Assembly authorship and regional involvement. She’s a well-loved member of the community as our First Melon and highly overqualified for the role she’ll be taking on in helping maintain and nurture TGW’s WA affairs. I have no doubt her experience will be put to good use as Delegate and continue the progress of those before her as we grow beyond our goals as a region and an Order. It’s going to be a great time to see where we go from here, and I’m excited to see the line of TGW girlboss delegates continue under Melon’s leadership!

The core tenets of the Grey Wardens; ever present against the Blight

Grey Warden's Log
20th Day of Molioris

Warm memories of Summerday celebrations were quickly gone for the group of patrols that returned from a lengthy tour through the territories where fresh Darkspawn incursions had been sighted. Despite gaining ground against the Blight, reports continued to pour in of scorched earth and desecration throughout Thedas and its vast lands.

Similar to the previous contingent, steeled veterans and Commanders set out to answer the call to duty and hunt the Blight to extinguish its ravaging ways alongside their close allies. Ours brought one new Recruit, having never faced the Darkspawn, for their first mission. As we rode out, we anticipated near immediate battle with the Darkspawn but were surprised with how little we found nearly three days out. The destruction and scar of the Blight on the land was evident, though quickly cleansed, and our group grew restless for engagement after purging the land of no less than ninety-one remains of the Darkspawn. Only on the final day would our hunt come to fruition as we came upon the remnants of Darkspawn foe retreating from whence they came. Fortunately, with such experienced forces, it proved no issue to scatter them from the final villages and subdue their presence on the land. A welcome respite for now, but certainly not the last time we'll send out to defend these lands.

Of special note from our group was the immediate promotion of Warden Sulenia to Warden-Lieutenant after a dedicated two months of service to the Order. A Warden of unparalleled tracking skill and hardened military experience in TITO, their presence on our patrols has been a positively lethal addition to our talented coalition. There are few in our cause who can rival their skills in spotting the Darkspawn well in advance of their raids, and it surprised next to none to see them rise to Senior Warden so quickly after completing their Joining. Such a promotion was only a short time coming and lightened the grim work of our patrol.

Returning home to the Order for brief rest, there's no doubt Lieutenant Sulenia's position will offer them new opportunities and keep them busy. Nothing but best wishes for them as they take on this role and continue to contribute to the Order's unyielding battle against the Darkspawn forces.
