The Grey Wardens were supposed to fight Darkspawn, not become Darkspawn! This is the fourth TGW raid I've seen in recent days, which is unusually high for a defender organisation.

2.) Ideally, yes. Modern-day defensive groups seemed to have, rather ironically, been involved in more and more raiding missions. Though the invasion of Warzone Europe isn't the best example, as they are in constant state of flux, other examples exist and are prevalent.

You assumed that they are indeed defenders, a premise which clearly is not accepted by all parties.

Woah theyah...timeout. #FakeNews is really fake. Srs talk for a moment, do you have any idea how uninformed you all sound? Do you really know what goes on at update, do you know what the Wardens actually do at update beyond the nazi collab grape vine and periodic gloat posts?

As Chamberlain, my job is to know exactly that. From Jan 1st to Apr 19th, TGW partook in 12 successful non-traditional defender activities, and 480 successful traditional ones. FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY. Of those that were traditional defender activities, 295 regions were defended, 74 regions were liberated, 57 regions were detagged, 18 regions were besieged, and 36 regions were supported. Traditional activities comprised 97.56% of all TGW activity, a percentage that has increased every month since January, even with us doing fash bashes, raider region drive-bys, and WZEU.

Now, let's look at cumulative turnout units, the sum of all updaters across all operations. Non-traditional defender activities had a CTU sum of 63, of which 59 were shared with traditional (mixed ops in the same update). Traditional defender activities had a CTU sum of 875 alone, and 934 shared. That's just a bit shy of 1,000 bodies jumping in the first 4 months of the year, for overwhelmingly pure defender activities.

In Jan, 11 different wardens partook in traditional defender activities. In Feb, 13 different wardens. In Mar, 21 different wardens. In Apr so far, 22 different wardens.

Fake News: The wardens are raiding too much and not being defenders.

Fact: The wardens currently have the highest comprehensive defense output in Nationstates.

But, of course, this is Nationstates, and you are probably fixated on the 12 non-trads and have gone all tunnel vision on them. Those 12 contain raids, tags, and drive-bys (where the delegacy is taken, but the region is neither held nor tagged). None of them involve arbitrary regions - all have to do with raider regions, nazis, nazi collaborators, or warzones. Our one political thing is nazis. Raiding raider regions has been a thing in some defender circles since the beginning, it's certainly not something we started. I believe that is what a "fenda" actually was in NS antiquity - not slang for "defender", but a derog for a defender who raids raiders. And then, there are warzones, which were created literally for the purpose of being raided. We even defend those sometimes.

If you have actually legitimate concerns about the direction of TGW, and aren't just looking to score cheap points in Gameplay, or aren't just trying to make us look bad in order to recruit for your own org (you know who you are), by all means let's talk in TGW Discord or privately. We are generally friendly and responsive people, when the narrative isn't a load of baloney

Highlight Of The Night



Thirty minutes into update. A big liberation coming up- freeing Souls from the clutches of the Black Hawks, and establishing a permanent reign of tacos, glitter, and Bob Geldof. Yet our First Warden was nowhere to be found- like the French in a war, the competency of the Columbus Blue Jackets, the capability of the Chicago Blackhawks, the ability of the Calgary Flames to do anything of note against fucking Anaheim of all teams, or any hope Ike has whatsoever for Canadian teams heading into round two of the playoffs, Roavin was nowhere to be found.

Luckily, due to doxxical magic, his brother Birdkeeper brandished his MIGHTY PHONE of POWER and FURY, and dialled 1800-WAKE-A-GERMAN. It was then that we awoke our beloved First Warden from his slumber, and heard the spiciest of remarks over the speaker phone.

Quoth the Roavin (sleepily): "Hello? Fuuuuuck, update!"

Luckily, within ten minutes, Roavin, the efficient, hard-working and deadly quick fastboi German that he is, showed up to #bashthefash. I feel worse as a person after using that hashtag.

Also, rest in peace, Montreal Canadiens. We all had high hopes, dashed tragically tonight by the team that got Wayne Gretzky's sloppy thirds. Don't like hockey in your R/D updates? Stick it.
