If it was a pattern of targeted mocking it might be overstepping a line but this ain't that. I'm not particularly one to shitpost but TGW adopted that in response to your side doing exactly that (which TBH continue to do too).
If you have actual concerns about OOC issues you contact senior leaders about it privately, especially in an experienced, OOC conscious region like TGW. You don't throw it in the mix whilst you're kicking up dirt to see what sticks. Sure, Dyll is great and you don't like seeing a good person being the butt of a joke. But it is a joke (whether you think its funny or not) and we all have to own our actions and failures a little (and I'm sure everyone on this game is capable of that).
Just want to repeat again that no one on the raiding side in this thread called it an OOC issue. You referred to what Refuge said as trying to make it into an "OOC attack." I recognize that the language of "goes into OOC territory" triggered some people but that does not indicate that there was an attempt to make the post itself an "OOC issue". Gameplay has always grappled with the balance between IC/OOC and trying to find the lines of what works. It is commonly understood that there is a mix that makes it hard to distinguish at times. Therefore, it is also understandable that there will be times when things feel a little pushing the envelope too much. However, there should not be an attempt by you or anyone to turn the initial report or reactions in this thread into something that it is not. This was simply a report that decided to go out of its way to focus on someone participating in a tag run. I have always been an advocate for approaching the game with critical thought and nuance. And yes there are differences here than other reports that have been made on either side, which is why the reaction. I am not saying that there are not similarities to other reports/posts or that this is totally out of the ordinary, but there was a bit of a difference that made this one standout otherwise I don't think there would have been the same reaction.
And with that reaction, I don't see an issue with members on either side trying to hold each other accountable and make sense of the many dynamics of gameplay. I understand that it is hard to take what someone says who is on an opposing side without assuming malicious intent. I don't think anyone thinks the report was done with malicious intent and the responses were not either. But at the same time, there is value in taking valid criticism and making sense of it. That is how communities and people grow.
