You would have to join one of the current active R/D orgs for that.

In regards to mechanics having gutted the R/D game: Half true. The World Activity Feat makes it easy to track stealth raids, generally, there is a hard cap of one ejection per second (completely negating regional officers, but also makes it nearly impossible to fight off liberation attempts when you're outnumbered by far and defenders move in a window of 5-6 seconds), so the only realistic options left are:
1. Piling to death (boring and uncompetitive)
2. Tagging (good practice, but gets old to do, to me at least)
That's my opinion on the raider side of things, at least. While those things don't gut the game per se, it relies far more on numbers to pull off occupations and tags gets boring fast (to me, at least).

That could be just me, though.

Tbf defenders have always moved in sub 10 second windows, it just took most raiders about a decade to catch up with game mechanics.

I do have to agree with you. With the popularisation of tagging, more effort seems to be put into tagging and chasing then raiding significant regions, or defending those. Quantitiy of tags seems to hold more weight then how significant a region was when it was raided, sadly.

Unlike Metallica, TGW keeps publishing total head-bangers one after another (with, of course, some occasional dips in quality whenever I, Sir Merlin, publish anything to our GP thread). Just our luck, the charts indicate that we're not gonna plateau anytime soon, so we scored three new recruits that have been actively attending updates. We're shooting for the top! We've accomplished a ton since our last report, but for the sake of breavity, I'm only including The Grey Warden's latest hits from Minor 2019-10-12 to Major of 2019-10-12/2019-10-13. My divine inspiration is usually dedicated to detags, not dissertations.



Merlin, leading his fellow Warden and a twobagger to cleanse metal clubs of vile nu-metal influence like the true heffy metal elitist he is.

The Call of the Wintermoon summond the Wardens to cleanse nu-metal from heretical clubs, and so they did, lead by the Immortal Merlin, who was awaken from his thousand-year slumber just 7 hours earlier. Videography and production was planned out by Haku, Merlin's newest convert. The Wardens were merciless in their crusade, and most clubs were cleansed by nightfall.

Seeing as the mainstream raiders have been pretty inactive lately, we have been unfortunate enough to be forced to detags for the majority of our updates. You will see me complaining about it constantly throughout this update report. We decided to start off the week of updates with 10 detags. Very fun stuff.

TGW reaction to the events of the following 2 updates

Finally, something other than detags! So, you remember that "raiding organization", The Invaders? Yeahhhh...this is about them. Apparently, they had some random new people volunteer to raid on behalf of TI, likely unbeknownst to TI's high command (whoever that is). Basically, we crushed their tiny raid. Credits to these two new players for actually doing something unlike the rest of TI, though, I guess.

If you have that many people seemingly at random PLEASE prep an extra tag list some nights just in case. Having a fast group and a slow group or something similar is better than having one group of 8 that jumps once every other minute. It's like how when we've had enough people on while chasing lily, we split into two groups (one consistent, one not-as-much) that alternate jumps for better efficiency. If there's only three or four on to defend against that, it'd require some actual skill to combat it, instead of just getting in before the better half the tag group and losing to a 10s trigger.
