We tried to liberate it last minor, and weren't that far from getting it, so hopefully we can get it in the next few updates. This is also the wrong place for the thread btw, it should be in gameplay (I think).

Anarchy gets raided every other week it seems now a days.

Rather fitting, I think.

What a fascinating perspective on time you must have.

To us mere mortals 14 of your days are experienced as YEARS for us. http://nsdossier.texasregion.net/histor ... tart=&end=

Organized Anarchists. Yeah, that's logical.

Of course it's logical.

Anarchy is not the absence of order but the instead the absence of rule.

Yes, but without rule, what happens when you guys start fighting eachother? You can't organize a military liberation without a chain of command, and you can't have a chain of command without rule.

Not to mention, this is the outcome of Anarchy, someone will always give into power and take it. It's human nature.

No, this is the outcome of a game mechanic that allows bored kids to pile up endorsements and post silly memes on someone elses message board for fun.

Exactly what power do you think the invader has that so called "natives" do not? You can probably ban a few peoples puppets. You can make it so we have to click the plus symbol to read eachothers words.

And you can post a silly "recruitment" message on the internet in the place that we used to have informative links about anarchism. You have no power that I don't.

I would very much encourage the folks behind this to get in touch with defenders, so you can join your efforts to theirs.

Roavin would be a good person to contact.

Dear Natapoc,

Please join us!

If there is something I can do to help, please let me know.

But note that I hardly have time to log into Nationstates anymore. I often go a few days between logging in to check on things.

In the mean time I really appreciate the efforts of those who wish to expel those who think they rule.

Anarchy is gonna be fine, it's basically a warzone lol. Like this one time The Black Riders occupied Anarchy for 6 months straight. >_<

More seriously though, what Cormac said.

It took a native five weeks (and a bit of help from the Goddess Relief Office) to get through the current Liberation in force, and it took another five months for it to be liberated by counter-invaders. I don't know how it took that long, but I wasn't around back then in the first place...

So Deathfall actually approached me and invited me to their Discord. I spent quite a while of time that I should have spent sleeping patiently explaining the liberation process. This was ... an eye-opener. Here's a few things that were notable:
  • Security was hilariously bad. August, was made "deputy commander". August is a respectable fellow but it could just as well have been somebody from Firehelm again - no security awareness whatsoever.
  • Scieca was free to be on the server, despite me immediately mentioning who she is and why she's dangerous.
  • While talking to me and August about liberations, Deathfall was simultaneously talking to Moneyness, a supposed "intel officer". Money's from Firehelm and a Regional Officer with Border Control in Anarchy, very busy suppressing RMB posts and ejecting nations there.

But the kicker came when we talked about post liberations. Remember, this was after we'd been talking (with frustrating patience) there for nearly an hour. I mentioned that defenders would give detailed step-by-step instructions to the native Delegate on how to clean up in the aftermath, and offered that a defender nation could take care of the restoration (WFE, Flag, tags, embassies, RMB) if given the RO power. Deathfall insisted that he would be RO, of course - I just said that I'd be fine either way, and it's up to Astrum Nigrum to appoint someone. What came then was enlightening:

[3:06 AM] Deathfall: I won't have an defender destroy the damn region.

So, after leaving the Discord immediately, I felt I had to share this: If you're trying to get Defenders together for a liberation, you should listen to them and not insult them, otherwise they're not inclined to help you. TITO already had Anarchy on its do-not-liberate list, and I'm starting to realize why.

Like I said, warzone. It's how many of them want it. I remember talking to an on and off delegate of Anarchy Seeya once when Anarchy was invaded. He didn't care about freeing the region, only saw it as a larger crowd / platform to promote Anarchy ideals.

If defenders wanna help Anarchy talk to YoriZ, he's been delegate several times and is the guy you really wanna talk to.

Edit: I don't know really know Astrum Nigrum, but I hope he's being more agreeable at least.

So what, if I buy a region of equal or greater value, I get anarchy thrown in as a bonus?

As with Dank Memes, an arrogant incompetent and/or nooby representative should not tarnish the face of an entire region to leave it to die.

It seems that TGW has not changed its ways, has it?

Furthermore, to explain my previous post, defenders should be ready to help defend a group of natives, even though their leader may be unpleasant. These natives may have almost absolutely no knowledge of the R/D gameplay and no good idea of how the game works, which will make them frustrated, angry, and misinformed. These factors may have caused this response from that representative, as the representative and the natives' only knowledge of R/D gameplay may really only be the invasion of their region.

If they don't want help, TGW shouldn't committ resources to help them.

Based on only one representative, which may have not understood Gameplay in the first place.

Yeah, and if you're gonna live in a founderless region, it behooves you to understand the basics of GP. There's this lovely thing called 'moving to a foundered region' if you'd like to opt-out.
