Common-Sense Politics Elected President In Landslide
Europeia Completes First Presidential Election of 2022

(Europeia, February 5th, 2022) After two intense weeks of campaigning, Common-Sense Politics (CSP) defeated incumbent President Darcness in the first presidential election of 2022. Both campaigns participated in a town hall and a presidential debate, all hosted on EBC Radio.

While the two tickets included honored citizens that have served Europeia for several years, they vastly differed in their leadership style. Former President Darcness received public criticism on the campaign trail for his approach to communication and a difficult term for the EBC. His campaign, titled Forward Bravely, received mixed reviews from voters and pundits.

In comparison, the CSP/Writinglegend ticket ran an energetic campaign that included daily voice chat town halls in Europeia's Discord server. Their campaign, dubbed Tenacity of Purpose, presented a robust vision for the next seventy days. A cornerstone of the campaign was strengthening Europeia's gameside community through cultural events and a strategic communications strategy.

Earning 70% of the vote, the CSP/Writinglegend campaign built a margin of victory not commonly seen in Europeian presidential elections. This closely matched pre-election polling, which predicted an 80% vote share. This will be CSP's fifth term as President and his first since the Spring of 2013. This will be Writinglegend's third term as Vice President.

They are entering 34 Goldenblock Avenue as one of the most qualified executive duos in Europeian history. CSP and Writinglegend have a combined forty-nine terms, equivalent to about six years, in the Executive Cabinet. Additionally, they collectively boast eleven previous presidential terms and over two dozen terms in the Senate.

When asked about the results, the Venerable Imperator CSP told the EBC that, "Europeians were presented with a clear choice in this election between two diametrically opposed approaches to leadership and governance. I'm extremely proud of the campaign we've run and the team we're assembling. Expectations are high and we're going to give our all to exceed them in the coming term."

(Europeia, February 23, 2022) - Europeia is turning fifteen on March 6. We would like to formally invite all of NationStates to our Founding Day celebrations.

We will take part in a flurry of activities, including a Trivia Night and live music listening. These engaging cultural activities will take place on a variety of different platforms, including Europeia's premier EBC Radio. Faces old and new will attend the 15th anniversary of Europeia to deliver landmark speeches that will shine a new, unique light on some of the turning points in our regional history to celebrate what makes Europeia one of the most historic User-Created Regions in NationStates.

The EBC reached out to Minister of Culture Sanjurika to discuss the celebration for Europeia's fifteenth anniversary. "I don't want to spoil too much, but it'll be a blast," he commented. "Look forward to thoughtful speeches, fun trivia, and awesome radio shows!"

The ERN sallied out in force at major, joining our friends in the NPA and SPSF for a solid detag run. Of particular note, this operation was the cleanup of North Europeia, which had been flying a Brotherhood of Malice flag for 18 days before this update. Despite update running a bit slow, we had a ton of fun bantering with everyone who came tonight, and the ERN had truly excellent participation. Special shoutout to Ensign Olde Delaware, who powered though update despite feeling unwell. The ERN detagged around 41 regions.

I'm going to keep this as brief as possible so as to ensure this government is speaking with its clearest voice.

Since the beginnings of NationStates, the actions of those who are loyal to extremist military gameplay ideologies instead of regions have diminished communities. That is true of moralist defenders and it is true of the adherents of raider unity. One is cosplaying as a white knight and the other a black hat but underneath they mirror each other in their motivations as well as in the toxicity and damage they leave behind. These movements exist to consolidate power and influence among of a group of elite players, to subvert and dominate any community or entity that can advance their interests at any cost.


In Europeia, we do not condone the infiltration, subversion, or threatening of our allies and partners. I hereby declare the players known as Rose Weisberg-Talleyrand and Astrid Weisberg Talleyrand personae non gratae. These individuals have undermined the laws of The Land of Kings and Emperors, our historic ally, and used their offices there for personal gain, supported by the Brotherhood of Malice. This breach of sovereignty as well as those that have preceded it and those that will assuredly follow it will not be forgiven, forgotten, or unanswered.

The threats and lack of professionalism we received in communications from the Brotherhood weeks ago have been answered with silence and in retaliation they responded with all their angsty, malevolent might by taunting and baiting us on the regional message boards of countless dead and forgotten regions. Let me be clear. The very second a screenshot is taken, we place zero value on our tags. That is why, up until now, I have not addressed their clear and infantile attempts to provoke us.

In Europeia, we do not tolerate bullshit. We find the whataboutism and misdirection, long mastered tactics of this faction, to be transparent and predictably dishonest. It is painfully obvious what's going on here, what has been going on, and where this is all headed. The Brotherhood of Malice and those who allow themselves to become their proxies, puppets, and apologists will continue to escalate their antagonistic and hostile actions against our allies which we will oppose by any means necessary to us, whether diplomatic or martial in nature. I would love to know why I am being accused of attempting to undermine my old home, the Land of Kings and Emperors. About a week ago, I left the LKE ashamed of myself, after emotions ran too high and I was unable to stop them, and even got caught up in them myself. My last act as Prime Minister, was to calm down some of the members of the Imperial Council, and apologize for this event, which I did not spearhead at all. In fact, I had only worked with BoM on one, maybe two raids while raiding with LWU. In fact, the catalyst for the events that ended in my resignation, with the blessing of the Emperor, seemed to be that I had asked permission from the Emperor to begin attempting to negotiate with Osiris to seek an end to the historic rivalry between the two regions. The Brotherhood of Malice was not involved at all.

When viewed together, these actions seem to suggest that raiders believe that they no longer need Independents. When we (meaning Europeia and regions ideologically similar) participate in a hold, the actions taken against the target region are limited to what is allowed per our guidelines. In that way, regardless of who selected the target or took point, we are in control. When raiders don’t need us, as they seem to be demonstrating with these moves, we’ve lost control.

LKE's military leadership said 'we firmly disagree with this military policy-from-on-high that never consulted us, and blindsided us on announcement. We disagree so firmly that we will leave if it is upheld.' They then walked when it was upheld. Other than fondling Onder's [censored], how is this some terrible breach of sovereignty? I know LKE is running around trying to get them outlawed from everywhere else they participate, but it's still sorta weird to lump BoM in on that line after we took them in as others folded to the LKE's demands.

What's been going on is Euro wants to control raiders, and even after you proclaimed that, raiders asked to be treated as equals, to pursue diplomacy. In return you outright ignored our diplomats, and so we did what raiders do - raid, without regard for your tags, as you disregarded ours. Of course it wasn't necessary, Zeo literally approached you to try and not have a conflict, and as you boast, you ignored it. This little essay is the biggest load of projection I've seen in a while, and that's a high bar for NS.

I'm not even wholly sure why I'm being PNG'd specifically, honestly - if you're going for all of Malice command, you missed Rax. And I haven't led any of the things you cite, otherwise, lol. I will admit, it makes the fact I painstakingly wrote your commend a lot funnier, though!
