There's going to be a News post about the Fair this year, which means it's going to get a lot of visitors. If you're wanting to promote your region, thinking of hosting a discussion, or are planning to make a lecture, this really is the year to do it, as it's going to get a lot of traffic. The intention is for the news post to go up around the time the fair opens, so the sooner you get your regional booths etc. up and running, the more you'll be able to capitalise on that.

A regional booth is essentially a sub-forum of the main regional booths forum.

In your regional booth, you can do lots of things. You can talk about your region and its culture, you can have a guestbook for visitors to sign, you can create little badges (shamelessly called shiny things) for visitors to your booth to put in their signatures (a very popular activity at the fair), you can have spam games, and lots of other things. Basically, your imagination and the NS rules are the limit.

The NSWF has traditionally had regions as hosts. While I won't say no, you'd probably have to give the NSWF staff a very good reason as to why you think that an individual nation should host the fair.

Most of the behind the scenes heavy lifting is done by the NSWF staff (and some heavy lifting it is!). The hosts get to pick a theme, and deliver a closing statement, alongside the NSWF staff. Oh, and the normally get to have their regional booth be the first one listed.

It may be that none of them simply were able to. I know Todd approached me about speaking, and I would've done a Defender topic with it, but I've been too busy to be able to participate in something like that and therefore had to unfortunately decline. Can't speak for the rest of the active Defenders on if they were approached about this or not, but I'd like to imagine that I wasn't the only one of us that ended up being asked to speak.
