Everyone else I want to see win has already been nominated. Well, apart from Most Influential Gameplayer - I think people are underestimating just how much things are still confined to their corners, by and large. I may have a nomiation later, but really, it'd just be the most "influential" person within a powerful bloc, rather than the more "internationalist" nominations that we are seeing.

I agree with your sediments Guy about the effect of recentism on the results thus far. Like how has no one nominated our first ever elected WA Secretary-General Caelapes! Won by a landslide in April, and has played a huge role in gameplay this year all round.

This is the nomination phase, so this isn't and shouldn't be representative of the final vote, but rather just throwing out people that deserve a nomination.

Nomination Ticket
Most Influential Gameplayer: Yuno.
Yeah, she's already nominated, but it's worth repeating. She's not influential in the classic sense - she doesn't swing lots of political power (despite being RO in 4 GCRs), she doesn't give great rising speeches or cause huge gameplay events, but she's very influentual (and I argue important) on a personal level for many other players. She's always nice, ever-caring, listens to anyone, gives advice, helps out, and brings together in a way that nobody else does, and deserves a nomination for the thankless duty of helping us all be better players and, ultimately, better people.

Best Raider: Tom Vasentius
Tom knows his stuff, he's fast, and he's good at what he does. But that's not the reason for my nomination - the reason is that Tom has by far the healthiest attitude towards gameplay you're likely to see, and both invaders and defenders alike should look up to him for that.

Best Defender: Altmoras
It's kinda unfair that I'm getting so many nominations, because Altmoras has actually done much more than I have, I believe. Altmoras is not just an expert gameplayer and ridiculously fast, but also does quite a bit of the behind-the-scenes work that nobody sees. While it's still been a chaotic time, he picked up quite a bit of the slack left behind by BT's absence and then departure. While it's unfortunate that he decided to chill in the armchair for a bit now, he's still been putting all the work in that doesn't require a mobile WA.

Best Up-and-Coming Defender: Vincent Drake
Vinny's been around since 2005, but only very recently became a defender. In that time, he literally shifted his sleep schedule to make both updates and has been a consistent endorsement in the defender arsenal. Not only did he very quickly get very proficient in all the aspects of gameplay, he's also been a great motivator to get people online, and somebody whos experience of living in a founderless region for 10 years is quite invaluable for any defender-oriented group that wants to be engaged more than just being there at update.
