TSP and Osiris Joint Statement

Friends and Neighbors,

Osiris and the South Pacific have a storied past and in recent years have found themselves on the opposing sides of many conflicts in NationStates. The current government of the Coalition and the Fraternal Order are diametrically opposed on the gameplay battlefield as in each region are some of the most impassioned advocates for Raiding and Defending. For a time, all members of the Coalition were barred from any participation within Osiris thanks to a proscription enacted by the Fraternal Order.

Nevertheless, since the lifting of the proscription both regions have committed to sending formal envoys to one another who have done an exceptional job in restarting relations. At this time, the Coalition government and the Fraternal Order believe it to be time to fully normalize our relations and establish clear lines of communication. It is likely we will end up in conflict with one another yet again, after all, we are both leaders in opposing factions. In spite of that, we want to ensure when conflict does arise communication channels are open for both of us.

That is why the Coalition and Fraternal Order are committing to two things:

• We will maintain embassies with one another in peacetime
• We will maintain ambassadors with one another in peacetime

It is our hope to maintain these vehicles for communication and that members of Osiris and the South Pacific will have continued opportunities to engage with one another.

This is really good to see. TSP and Osiris being hostile to each other while actively agreeing on most things has made the least sense in the world to me for years now. Statement From the Osiran Government

While triggering an operation during minor update today, our Pharaoh, Valerievna, misclicked and moved into another region instead of adding it to their dossier, updating in said region. In the aftermath of this incident, Valerievna and the rest of the Osiran government deliberated as to the necessary course of action in order to preserve regional stability and continuity in the Pharaohship.

Valerievna had intended to name Luna State Heir Apparent in the very near future with their preference being to abdicate in the next month.hus, the decision was made to use this incident to begin the transfer of power and proceed as seamlessly as possible. Therefore, Osiris is committing to the following plan to ensure the secure transfer of power to Luna State.

Arkadia Universalis, who was the Guardian designated first in line in the absence of an Heir Apparent, has been named Pharaoh after the abdication via WA resignation of Valerievna. As his first act, Ark has begun the process under Osiran Law to name Luna State Heir Apparent of the Osiris Fraternal Order. After Luna State is confirmed, the goal from there will be to elevate Luna State to the Pharaohship as rapidly as possible, to ensure that Valerievna’s wishes are honored in this regard.

We apologize to our allies for any disturbance caused by this event, and we thank every region that has reached out to assist us in our transitionary period. We will provide further information as the situation progresses, and will give more specific statements of gratitude after the successful transition.

Not quite!

While Wymondham is currently the delegate due to endo count, he doesn't gain the legal title of Pharaoh in this case. Ark gained that title as soon as Dakota abdicated due to a security apparatus that meant the throne would never be vacant.

In a few years, this will make an excellent NS bar trivia question, I'm sure.

Yeah, it's beyond time for [violet] to stop making excuses about lack of confirmation for moving and actually implement something. It's unfortunate it took it happening to a GCR Delegate to highlight the issue, given complaints have been raised by other users for years. But I'll leave it at that, since this isn't Technical.

That said, there is a current thread that predates this incident in Technical and I'd encourage Osirans and other gameplayers to make their voices heard here.

Very glad everything turned out all right in Osiris, and it's a credit to Dakota's quick leadership to handle the situation, the region's allies and strong security infrastructure, and of course the good and dedicated people occupying security positions. Once upon a time in Osiris, when everyone was looking for a knife in the back from everyone, there would have been deep concern that an incident like this might trigger a coup. As one of the OFO's co-founders, it's very encouraging for me to see the OFO's institutions have made the region more secure and that today's Osirans have put that chapter in Osiris' history behind the region.

The day was particularly sweltering for a march to the field, and the Sekhmet Legion was in the midst of a much-needed water break. Mosaid Wascoitan was in the middle of giving some pointed to the Jondi following their recent training, when two figures appeared on the edge of the camp. Wasc recognized one of them as an acolyte of Horus - an ally of many moons. The other, however, was both new, and strangely familiar.

"Who visits us on our march," Wasc inquired, "alongside our feathery friend?"

The acolyte of Horus answered, "I bring with me an acolyte of Set, a harbinger of disorder, a representative of foreigners, and a force of malice."

The acolyte of Set here spoke up. "Our order has recently reconvened from a period of slumber. We are yet stiff, but the sand sloughs off gradually, revealing the stone beneath. May we join you on this expedition?"

"...I see no reason not," Wasc announced after a moment of pondering. "More blades are always a welcome addition."

At this pronouncement, a number of other figures could be seen approaching on the horizon. "Friends," indicated the Acolyte of Horus with a word. Upon seeing their size double, the Mosaid proclaimed softly, "it is a blessing to see our faction so strong once more. This is truly a real ballsmoment."
