I've always hated spending time to write speeches, which is why I shied away from the political scene early on to focus on what you know me to do best.
That aside, I feel that it'd be rather bizarre for my outspoken character to leave without a peep. Exactly seven months ago, I revived The Invaders with the blessing of its former founders, who believed that I would do their legacy justice. But I didn't make this move for any personal gain or enjoyment, or even to taint another organization by dragging it through the mud. Even though I had no direct responsibility in DEN's fate, where its ruin was inherited from a region that I had been completely unaffiliated with, I still felt that I needed to make up for its tremendous fall from grace.
Over the course of the next seven months, I've rebuilt The Invaders up from scratch and brought it through invasion and controversy. We've become the largest invader region in the world, the largest since the DEN. We've executed some of the finest invasions seen on NationStates, ones that are reminiscent of the old days'. But the only motivation I had was to train another generation of raiders to continue the legacy we were creating. I'm happy to say that my mission is done.
General Drunken Conquerors and Major Liddell Hart will lead The Invaders together, as Field Commander and Director of Operations, respectively. General Shadow and newly-promoted Major Elfine will retain their positions as Head of Intelligence and Executive Officer, while I will join General Rose and Colonel Leilas on the Military Advisory Board.
I have full confidence that they will honor our predecessors' legacy in carrying the Invaders' banner onward. I'm proud, and I'm positive that they will be proud as well. The Age of Invaders will continue to thrive.
I'm not leaving NationStates entirely, but I am resigning from a career that's brought a lot of joy and stress. Anyone is welcome to telegram this nation or General Knot, because hell, I've got a ton of war stories and memories to tell.
