A large number of players were involved in the use of this tool, and all are being punished. The nature of these punishments is determined by a number of factors, including the extent the tool was used, the level of collaboration with DOS players, whether the player has confessed or apologised for their actions, any assistance they have provided us with our investigations, their prior record, and several other variables.
The following punishments are thus being handed out:
*** 3 month WA ban, deletion of main nation ***
- Ambroscus Koth
- Aurum Rider
- Camo5768
- Feuer Ritter
- Gladio
- Knot II
- Kknight
- The Type 49 TARDIS
- 94 Block
- Vandoosa
- Wetwork
Texasa (enacted 31/05/16)Appealed and granted 01/07/16
- Varax Oni
- Festavo/Trick Shot
- Hired Contractor
- Kleomentia/Marselesk
- Lord Nuke
- Nordic Arbor
- ChingisOtchigin
- Gest
- WraithFin
- Coraxion (enacted 18th March)
If any player above is involved in use of an illegal script in the future, they will be DOSed. If any of them attempts to avoid their WA ban, they will be DOSed. If any of them violates the rules in any way while their punishment is in effect, we will at a minimum extend the WA ban by a further 3 months, and potentially DOS them. You are all on extremely thin ice. If any other player attempts to help one of the above evade their punishment, they will find themselves punished severely, potentially including being DOSed.
In addition, we have decided to enact punishments on some of the regions involved, specifically DEN and Cimmeria. While a number of regions have made use of Predator (including The Black Hawks), both DEN and Cimmeria are effectively successors to The Black Riders, who were involved in the last serious script violation. A culture of rule-breaking has become institutionalised in these regions, where using illegal scripts to gain unfair advantages and collaborating with DOS players is considered the norm. Punishing the players involved last time was not enough, and nor was a recruitment ban on the region.
As such, we're *** deleting the regions of DEN and Cimmeria, and all of their trophy regions. *** Players should not attempt to re-found these regions; they will be taken into mod custody, and the "trophy regions" gradually released for player at an undetermined point in the future. DEN and Cimmeria will remain permanently prohibited regions. The creation or development of DEN or Cimmeria themed successor regions is equally prohibited until such time as we determine otherwise. In addition, we are *** ending all current DEN and Cimmeria occupations. ***
These punishments are being enacted now - due to the scale of them, it will take some time, and the deletion of trophy regions could take a day to sort. There is a chance we may miss off regions - please let us know if this is the case, but only once we have confirmed in the thread that we have finished enacting the punishments.
Players should note that any attempt to interfere in the enacting of these punishments (e.g. by attempting to obscure a current DEN occupation or trophy region) will be severely punished.
If you have questions, they may be asked in this thread. As ever, gloating is prohibited and will result in warnings.
EDIT 30/04/16: As per this post, the intent of the WA bans is to ban those players from any in-game involvement with invasions. Any of the players currently under a WA ban for Predator involvement should not serve as Regional Officers outside their home regions for the duration of their ban. Any that are currently violating this should submit a GHR immediately so that we can mod-dismiss them, and should not use their RO powers in the meantime.
