"acts of God" are killing my people, what to do?

Postby Greater Hunnia » Fri Feb 05, 2016 4:49 am

After examining some of the most atheist nations in the game I concluded that I can get rid of these deaths by making my nation less religious, but appearently, the number of people killed by God gets only higher if I try that. So what am I supposed to do? What are the issues/resolutions that could help?

This nation DOES use NS statistics, but the interpretation for some of them might be a bit skewed.

Actually, I think it's related to the Primitiveness stat. Try reducing that.
Also, this is something for Got Issues.
INTP, -4.25 Economic Left/Right, -4.1 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian, tastes like chicken.
I do use NS stats, thank you very much.

"Act of God" is an actual legal term. I don't think your nation's religiousness or lack thereof has anything to do with it.

I used to have problems with the same stat, but I was able to eliminate it through pro-science and secular options. Perhaps you've also managed to reduce other types of death faster than this one, leading to its relative increase?

That might be the case, as I significantly reduced death by cancer lately. Thanks for the answers, everybody.

In my experience, 'acts of God' actually covers things such as terrorism in name of religion. I remember legalizing terrorism, and that cause of death shot up.

I think it might be the category for religious violence, instead of natural disasters or such.

That makes sense, perhaps its influenced by your civilian emergency services like police and ambulance and fire. Poorly funded may equate to high 'Acts of God' deaths
